read the above link before you read below shite.

my rebuke to those sensible folk at the Catdirt label for their considerate reflection of our Wednesday show at the casbah.... and when i mean considerate, i mean, they considered every aspect of our performance the other night.... you know, the clothes, the choice of songs, the essential charisma atleast one member of the band should possess, and of course the music. oh wait, music? nevermind.... instead the insightful wise man at cat dirt was more concerned about his quippy choice of adjectives used to write us off more easily, producing such terms as "angular", and well, only 'angular'. Yeah yeah, you want move on and gloat about your friends band anyways. But regardless, I see promise in this guy as a blog writer…… you know he's hip, he knows how to dress probably, and despite being confined by a 10th grade understanding of semantics, he shouldn't be kept from actually having an opinion..."hello?" you might think a music critique should contain something about the music? But in this self serving game of who's who, it is far wiser to go to a music show and bag on the poor fashion choices of the people on stage. but maybe i'm being to hard on the guy. you know? maybe i should actually ditch my guitar, maybe i should strive to make it for the big stage (maybe i shouldn't burn my bridges), but most importantly i should sell my decency short to get the people "into it!!!" "Yeah dude party!!!" because that's what music is about, getting all the people to think you are the coolest shit, fill their guts with liquor, and then it's easier for them to forget that you only know 4 chords. besides, all the daring scenesters and the hippest hipsters will be too concerned with coming up with silverchair references and docking points from the fashion section to be really concerned with anything based in art or composure. hey everyone, cat shit sez!, STAY STUPID. now seriously guys, can we work on that?

Unfortunately it's all about how you look and who you know. You guys are great! Disregard the Silverchair references and such. Anyone that still has them on their radar is a jokester anyway...

I could barely get through the article in the above link at 'cat dirt'. The glaring errors in both grammar and literary style were making me a bit sick to my stomach. It is hilarious that someone is attempting to criticize great musicians by writing an article so laden with poor writing.

If I were to do a review of this article I would say the author needs to take less time trying to think up not-so-clever references to 90s grunge bands and more time getting a basic grasp of elementary punctuation (for instance, you don’t have to end every other sentence with three periods, one period will generally suffice).

I figure, if you’re going to make music, make great music; forget about what you wear or who you’re impressing.
If you’re going to make blog music reviews, take the time to proof read your keyboard vomit before posting it; otherwise people may realize they’re reading the opinion of an immature, petty idiot.

rock on Roman Spring!!!
