Howdy folks!

Newsletter number 19?! Can you believe it?!! I remember Newsletter #1 like it was yesterday! DLC were just a bunch of crazy kids with a dream... a dream of becoming Australia's finest 4 man indoor Netball team. That dream failed. Music is the second dream... can we do it? Or will we once again be beaten in the quarter finals by the agile ladies of the Beenleigh Bombers? Time will tell.. time will tell...

SYDNEY SHOW SOLD OUT
Our Sydney Annandale show next Friday is now sold out. For any Sydney folk who missed out we are also playing Manly Fisho's on the 18th of September and Wollongong at The Harp on September 17!

THE SPACE ON THE WALL TOUR - CORNER HOTEL SHOW SELLING FAST
We are in the rehearsal room at the moment fine tuning our new set for the upcoming tour. As well as The Space On The Wall we will be playing an unheard brand new song which is possibly our favourite song we've ever written! The first half of the tour kicks off in Coffs Harbour next Wednesday, Canberra next Thursday, and Sydney and Katoomba over the weekend. We then make our way down to Melbourne and surrounding areas. For those interested in coming to our Corner Hotel show, tickets are selling fast so get in quick! Dates are listed below.

ADELAIDE AND WA SHOWS - SPECIAL GUEST DRUMMER LUCIUS BORICH
Unfortunately our mega-buff sausage-wielding drummer Luke Williams will not be playing with us in WA and Adelaide due to his best friends wedding in North QLD. Filling in for these shows will be COG drummer Lucius Borich. This is an absolute honour for us as we have basically worshipped this man since Just Visiting part 1. Please don't tell him we said that. If he asks.. we played it cool... we were leaning up against a wall.. smoking a cigarette... we kind of turned at you and said "Yeah.. I guess he's okay"... feel free to really get creative with that.

THE SPACE ON THE WALL $50 VIDEO CLIP
A few weeks ago we were told by our very stern management that we wouldn't have a budget to shoot a film clip for our new single. We were devistated. So we did what any self respecting band would do.... we threw a tantrum. Kim smashed things, while I opted for the more classic "crying and punching" style tanty. Stewie refused to eat his dinner but he caved after about 20 mins. Very weak. But we did it! Management finally succumbed and we were given a budget of exactly $50 to shoot the clip......... and buy lunch. So we combined the two... Hmmm..

NEW ARTWORK BY ARTIST CAMERON GRAY
You may have noticed some amazing new artwork on our myspace and tour posters. This is the work of a young Australian artist named Cameron Gray. By some divine twist of fate we found this guy a few months ago and his art struck a chord within us and vice versa. Since then he has been developing a series of pieces inspired by our music which will make up the entire artwork of our forthcoming album. We feel extremely lucky to have forged this relationship with him and we are very excited to see what everyone thinks of the complete series of art when the album is released. STU GIVING BASS LESSONS!
For anybody looking to learn how to play super shredding bass... I find that a rubber fist glued to a power drill does the trick. I also find that these break easily and generally end badly one way or another (sorry dad). For a more delicate and intimate musical experience...
