I almost wrote a tour blog last week - a couple of days after we got back from Manchester after supporting the Lo Fi's. Inspiration deserted me then, despair its replacement. Being in music is full of ups and downs - 1 minute you are crusaders in a race with dawn, the next you are swimming in an ocean of dark thoughts and office workers. Might be the drink mind you... I'm pleased I didn't write anything last week though, I wouldn't have been able to tell you about our terrific travels in London back then. Our digital dashboard sped through the 80's + 90's as we assaulted the M1 in pursuit of some TV action. Thats what sells records apparently - ask X Factor. We'd been invited down to Remedy Productions, home of E4 and our mate Hugo from Dundee. We hired an unsuitably small people carrier, stuffed it full of stuff and left for a stop-over in Lambeth and a 20th birthday party in the most bohemian World War Three hang-out the wrong side of the Tweed. Happy Birthday to Lucy John Paul , our angel voiced amore and a thousand thanks to her very beautiful older sister who let us line up horizontally on her wooden floor. Sleeping in the same room as 4 other blokes requires hard liquer and solid sleeping bags. The next day (filming) went well, with luck the footage will be on E4 next year - if no it'll be on the spider web somewhere soon i'm sure. Anyway you can read about our Lo Fi's tour now if you like but in summary our London adventure included; stella and some old gold rum, sunset filming on a Notting hill rooftop, bumping our hire car on a Chesterfield roundabout, hiding from the smoking police in a scooter shop & singalong stupid songs in a spacecar. They should have filmed that.
