well, i wrote one song prior to this for the certain girl all these demos are about, but, here is where it all started to get serious. i started fighting in myself the thing that most people know as your "conscience". i started realizing that getting to where i wanted was going to take some serious effort and hurting. a lot of the song is just a literal account of our predicament, like most of the songs. i actually attempted to sing this on the acoustic tour i did last fall several times and at the show in st louis i lost it and could barely finish the song. it was embarrassing but hopeful, i knew that i was hitting the nail on the head when it affected me like that. i hope you enjoy it.
