Hey everybody!! I know I haven't been online a lot lately, I have been super busy in the studio!! I stayed in Los Angeles for the holidays (and missed a badass blizzard in Seattle) to get more work done while the city was quiet. Can't wait for you to hear what I've been up to! More on that later. For now, you can hear and watch me singing my new song, "To Find You" (which is sometimes known as "Fireflies") and an oldie but goodie "Trouble" on CSI:NY this Wednesday at 10:00pm on CBS!! I play a subway street performer in New York City, so I get to perform two of my original songs, and as an added bonus- I get murdered!!! LOL! I had so much fun with the makeup and costume department on this. Everyone was so sweet and fun to work with on set, so it wasn't too terribly scary to play dead haha. :) If you read my earlier blog about the whole experience, you know that I had to teach myself to play guitar in about a week, so I am very excited to see how it turned out!! Now, CSI is not exactly known for the music, so there was a lot of confusion throughout in the musical department... When I read the script, it was an electric guitar my character was playing, but when they called me they insisted I record the songs acoustic. I double and triple checked with them that they for sure wanted acoustic, and then when I got on set, they handed me an electric guitar! hahaha!! So after all the hassle I went through to record the acoustic stuff, they had to go back and play electric over what I filmed. I haven't seen or heard what they've done to it, so I am very curious as to how they synced everything and a little nervous!! But more than anything I am very excited to be on TV again!! When I did American Dreams and played Janis Joplin, and had my videos on mtv and stuff,I had a big parties and all my friends came over and watched it with me. This time I don't have TV so i might have to take over someone else's living room!! Haha. Well hope you all enjoy!! Don't forget! :) Love you all!! <3 Bonnie

You can use my living room if you don't mind bringing all your friends to Michigan. I do have a large plasma TV and surround sound so your music should sound really good. Just a thought.

Kick ass Bonnie... a lot of musicians and artists become historical figures when they die ;-p (Disclaimer: this is meant to be a lame joke, not a threat or anything of that nature)

LOL...when you first announced you were going to be on CSI I set my DV-R to record it every week so if I happened to be away when it aired I'd still get to see it! teehee. I'm excited and can't wait to see how it turned out.
I really like CSI anyways, so it's a double bonus! :)

Hey Bonnie,
I had yesterday's CSI:NY marked on my calendar because Alex Band would be on it but I didn't think it would be the same episode you filmed! So strange that you two worked together! Anyway, great job! And you're right, the makeup on you is crazy! The scene in the bathtub was scary! Great job!

~*~Melissa Iris~*~

I cried when I found out. He is such an inspiration. I remember seeing Thriller when I was 5 years old and being so scared yet I couldn't stop watching it. After Thriller, I watched Black or White and became an instant fan. My favorite memory though is wearing all these Band-Aids around my fingers (like Michael Jackson did) in Kindergarten and my teacher asked why I did that and I told her, "I am going to be Michael Jackson when I grow up." and I would put that down on every single little paper we had to fill out with "What are you going to be when you grow up?" I think that's what made me the most sad about his death... remembering myself doing that. I hate how these tv channels and magazines are in absolute awe of him now and love him and are mourning him. Where were they he was going to court? or when they were saying "Wacko Jacko"? I mean come on. They are such idiots. I have always supported him - thru court and all those terrible names. BTW... Anyone, besides me, see Joe Jackson at the BET awards? what an asshole. He acted like it was a-okay that his son died and was too busy promoting his own record label... WTF? What an ass.
