Germany's Break Out Magazine printed a review of Fire And Fame in their October / November issue. The translated version appears below.

Joerg Deisinger & Carl Begai
Fire And Fame

Rock 'n' Roll biographies are as common as sand on the beach, and the focus more often than not is on the musical aspects of protagonist's journey, with glimpses into the personal side of things offered sparingly at best. Joerg Deisinger, best known as the bassist for Ingolstadt-based hard rockers Bonfire from 1986 - 1993, lived through the "golden years" of the music industry and has brought them back to life in Fire And Fame. This is not an official Bonfire biography written in English, but rather the riveting and often humourous true story of a teenager with his heart and mind set on being a rock star who achieved that goal. The story introduces the reader to the Deisinger family, accompanies an unwilling Deisinger through his appreticeship as an electrician, and follows him to the end of his career as a participant in the Rock 'n' Roll Olympics. Together with renowned Canadian rock journalist Carl Begai, the book isn't written in ghost-writer fashion typical of autobiographies. Instead, it showcases Deisinger's unique accounts and approach spiced up by Begai's writing style. Inspired by narrowly escaping death at the hands of the tsunami that hit Thailand in 2004, this 250 page softcover edition breaks away from the stereotypical band bio format, offering up a highly entertaining look at Deisinger's experiences. A pleasure to read, and a book that belongs in every Rock 'n Roll library.
