With the government bailout of investment banks highlighting the Saturn/Uranus oppositions -Uranus exactly opposite United States' Neptune and Saturn applying toward his rendezvous with United States' Neptune, it is unlikely that anyone in the US is not painfully aware of the import of the profound changes now taking place.

The History of Banking in the US reads pretty much like a Tom & Jerry cartoon. Round and Round she goes –where she stops nobody knows. First there was a government run central bank. Then Andy Jackson did away with that and instituted the "free banking era" of state banks. Then, after the Civil War we went to a system of "national banks." The panic of 1907 induced the creation of the Federal Reserve –a central regulatory agency on banking. And now we have the US government buying up the bad debt of the investment bankers. Does this mean we are right back where we started -back to having a government run central bank???
In a country which is supposed to be the greatest in the World –what would speak to this round robin, cluster-$%! style of managing our money? In the words of Dana Carvey's old SNL character -the Church Lady -Could it be....SATAN??? Well, in fact, Yes! Uh, let's see here-an opposition of two Retrograde planets, Pluto and Mercury, from the 2nd to 8th forming a wedge of delusion (by trine and sextile) to Neptune!
Could this possibly speak to a Nation where everybody -especially the government -spends imaginary money –and even the supposed "real" stuff has weird Masonic pictures of this all seeing eye and is stamped with the motto "In God We Trust."?????????
Well, I guess it is a good idea to trust Neptune, I mean GAWD with our money -because we sure as hell can't seem to trust the government with our money. Even in my relatively short time here on Earth this is at least the second time the government has bailed out a bunch of banking nit-wits (those of you over 35 will remember the Savings and Loan crisis of the 80's).
The savings and loan crisis of the 1980s and 1990s (commonly referred to as the S&L crisis) was the failure of 747 savings and loan associations (S&Ls) in the United States. The ultimate cost of the crisis is estimated to have totaled around USD$160.1 billion, about $124.6 billion of which was directly paid for by the U.S. government—that is, the U.S. taxpayer, either directly or through charges on their savings and loan accounts which contributed to the large budget deficits of the early 1990s.
But the S&L cluster-$%! pales in comparison with the current crisis. The recent rare solar eclipse in Leo –on US N Node - in the US 8th house -has completely obliterated the entire existence of 8th house type banks! 2nd house banks just hold your money –its still your money and you have total say over were it goes –when you entrust the management of your money to someone else –it becomes effectively their money and thus an 8th house affair.
The current bailout of these 8th house investment bankers is estimated to cost 700 BILLION dollars! Folks, that is an absolutely ridiculous sum. With only around 300 million citizens of this country, that means every man, woman and child is expected to cough up $2,333 in order to keep the entire economy from collapsing like the house of cards it is. I don't know about you, but I simply aint got 2 or 3 Grand laying around (and even if I did, why would I give it to those fools?!). The long and short of it, folks, is that 700 billion dollars of FAKE money is about to be injected into our economy. It don't take a genius or even an economics degree to figure out that watering down our money to that degree makes for some pretty thin kool-aid. Yet, everyone is hollering "drink up quick! –we gotta do something now!
Well, I got some bad news for ya, folks. It may be a good idea to drink the kool-aid, because the solar eclipse in the 8th house of the US chart which helped Saturn-Uranus bring this mess to a head –well it aint going away. The next two years see the eclipses falling in the 2nd in the spring and the 8th in the fall. And the final crescendo to this embecilic symphony is an eclipse right on the Sibley 8th house Porphry cusp in 2010 –when Saturn, Uranus and Pluto align in a t-square. In a recent publication I noted that all the longest recessions of the previous century happened when Pluto was in a cardinal sign (like Capricorn) and in hard angle to either Uranus or Pluto (like squaring both in 2010). Whoopeeee!

It appears more and more that it should be an extremely interesting time then, when the Saturn/Uranus oppositions move to Aries/Libra in 2010 –as these two Titans face off in signs in which they gain power. Will the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at the vernal point -0 Aries- be about potential breakthroughs in energy –or more War & Greed? It is up to each of us –accordingly this week's Horoscopes are 'scopes of the Future –the future of Uranus in Aries.

Aries: Hosanna! This is the day you have lived for!
