Git me to Nashville, Gitt-R-Dunn!!!!
Yee-Haw, Ya'll!
Here's my blog and I uploaded 6 of my original tunes for all of you to check out.  Please bear with me if things aren't quite up to par, but I had to quickly get things in place and will edit and add info and pic's in the near future.

This blog is about myself and promoting my music, but I have to partner with two very influential people in my life that reflects the artist I am today.  My father was a weekend performing musician in a country and rock "CROCK" band and instilled the music bug in every member of my family.  I am also very blessed to have a twin brother and we have shared musical interests since the day we were born.  We received the best Christmas presents to this day at age seven, mine was a set of drums and my brother's was an electric guitar.  Whoo-Hooo!  can you imagine at 5:00 am waking from an over indulgence of egg nog to the quiet purr of a crash cymbal with an adrenalined pumped kid at the drumstick?  At different times, my parents regretted exchanging those wonderful, innocent gifts until the day we both moved out of the house.  We showed a natural curiosity in learning and performing our instruments and also found that we had vocal capabilities that we incorporated in our music exhibitions a good time later.  We had the instrument thing pretty well down by age ten but, man, singing vocals that had notes all over the place with pronunciation and timing accents were painstakingly acquired by experimenting with awful out of pitch sounds and bits of screaming and moaning that can only be made from some sort of mammal that likes to hear their own sound projections.

My brother started fartin' 'round with the bass guitar and was so awesome in such a short time, was offered to fill in for the bass player in my Dad's band who was ill for a wedding reception when he was twelve years old!  You can imagine the nerves of my bro' but after a few songs, he was "ridin' shotgun" on that stage and the audience couldn't believe what they were seeing; Dad said he kicked ass!  We were doing what only the "Osmond's" and the "Jackson's" were doing on TV at that time!  Not a bad gig: free beer, inquisitive women, and $40.00 back in 1974 for three hours of fun, loving what you're doing and hearing a lot of people boost your self-esteem...would there be any other lifetime love?

From there, my Dad branched off with my brother and myself to form our own 3-piece crock band and we were booked for two summers straight at a tavern on a popular small lake every Friday and Saturday night.  Those were my roots and I have wrote many songs and have been in many bands over the years since then.

I grew up to appreciate the best era of music ever produced, the 70's and 80's!  I have developed a mixture conveyed in my material of many types of tasteful music including hillbilly country and western, big band music, rockabilly, new wave, industrial, techno, classic rock, heavy metal, R & B, and some rap.  I write, perform, sing, and produce all of my material and, to this point, have enjoyed the freedom of creating, arranging, and mixing my particular flavors into my music style.  I hope that you get something positive out of my music and song messages that have an "old school" and new twist blend that moves or inspires you.

Please know that I am deeply grateful for the time you take to check out my contemporary country material.  If you dig it, let me know and please inform all of your friends to tell all of their friends to give me a listen and so on. If you believe in my music and know someone who has pull in the music recording industry that may be able to take everything to the next level, please pass this info onto them.  If you can pull some strings, I will undoubtedly be forever in your debt and your loyal lifetime friend.  Thanks-a-boatload and I can't wait to read your comments!  Bryce Mckoy
