The Saints of God are the called out ones! Those who God chose first before we chose him! We who are baptized in Jesus' name because there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved! Those who not only believe Psalm 23, but know the shepherd! We know who the Father is in Creation, who the son is in redemption, and who the Holyghost is in regeneration! It is Our Lord and Saviour who bares the name which is above every name: And that name is Jesus!
In the first one hundred years of the church the Apostles established. Absolutely no one was baptized in any other name than the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins! Man changed the formula and put an iron fist with it around 325 A.D. through the rule of the Roman empire by way of the proclamation of Constantine. If you associated yourself with the "Jesus' name" movement, that meant certain death! The Roman coloseum bore witness to that fact through all of those who were slain because they were considered troublemakers that believed in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Jesus himself knew that all scripture testified of him! St. John 5:39 says "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."! What a testimnoy indeed! The Saints of God understand that to know him is to love him and serve him! We must become transparent enough to let others see Him through us! For as the woman is the image and glory of the man, so is the body of Christ, the church the image and glory of him that created it!
The Saints of God let their lives reflect the beauty, joys, sorrows, pains, sufferings, glory and honor of the God who called us according to his purpose! When you meet God's people, you should know unmistakeably that you've met the people of God! Their holiness should bring conviction, provoke unto good works and usher in the presence of God with respectful curiosity! So let the genuine people of God say so in thought, word and deed!
In His service,
Pastor Greg
