Ok.. So the title of this blog is going to be a little deceiving.. Sorry!

I've been in Atlanta the last week and the weather as been terrible!!! Had a great trip, but just gloomy, rainy and cold weather. I usually don't mind this type of weather, but I wasn't prepared for it. The only shoes I had with me were my TOMS and they don't do too well in water.

Yesterday while taking off I starred out of the window of the plane and just watched. Finally we got to an altitude where all the clouds dissipated and there was nothing but beautiful sky. The sun was illuminating warmth and immediately i smiled.

Sometimes you just have to get higher in order to see the sun.

For the last month I've been in this total funk. Many things I think have contributed to it. I've been working a ton. I've been in my new condo for two months now, and I've only been home two weekends out of that time. I'll be gone the next two weekends, adding to that number. Even though I work primarily with churches and most all of my work events are centered around churches, many times I'm too busy to actually enjoy anything from the services or even participate in them. So I definitely haven't been "in" church as much as I would like to be.

This last week was good for me. I was at the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta. Yes, I worked most of the time, but I was able to catch some of the Labs and talks. Just being there was refreshing to me. Just lifting your hands in worship somehow elevates you and can bring you out of the funk..
