For 22 years, OSF has held to the hope that this annual event would no
longer be necessary — that a cure for AIDS/HIV would be found and the
spread of this deadly disease would be halted. OSF will continue to
hold these benefits as long as funds are needed for AIDS/HIV research
and charitable support. The Daedalus Project enables our community to
remember and celebrate those who have died, and to work together to
bring this disease to an end.
This year's Daedalus Events will take place on
Monday, August
16-17, 2009. (The 5K Run/Walk in Lithia Park will not be held this
year.) Call the Box Office at (800) 219-8161 or (541) 482-4331 for more
information or to order tickets, priced at $30 or $25. Events include
an OSF company Art & Treasures Sale in the Bowmer Theatre lobby;
lemonade and t-shirt sales on the Festival bricks, a Monday afternoon
play reading, and the Monday evening Variety Show at 7:30 p.m. on the
Elizabethan Stage/Allen Pavilion.
The Monday Play Reading will be Tony Kushner's "Angels in America,
Part Two: Perestroika," directed by Robynn Rodriguez, presented at 1:30
p.m. in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. Tickets are $15.00.Daedalus Project
