Cait knows what I'm talkin' about in my subject.
Anyhow, December was a month for tons of stuff.
I took my finals, got good grades in all my classes.
I was asked to be a T.A. for my Abnormal and Deviant Psychology program which bummed me out since I was graduating, but at least I know she can give me one heck of a recommendation, WooT!
Then, Shawn and I celebrated our 3yr. Anniversary, which was awesome. We went to our fave place, the Indian restaurant for dinner and it was SO good as usual. My word, I could eat there... well, I was going to say I could eat there all the time, but that's not true, I would get sick of it, but it's still super good!
A week or so later we Graduated. Shawn actually graduated Magna Cum Laude!
No surprise really 'cuz he's always been good in most of his courses... Asian History aside hahaha!
My mom came up from GF so that was nice, my dad couldn't make it due to work. I felt a good sense of accomplishment finally walking and getting that damn diploma cover hahaha!
After that was Christmas and all the holiday stuff. Shawn came to visit on Christmas, we got to hang out with Chad which rocked as usual. We went to "The Harvest" for dinner and that was so good. Big italian dishes, yum! Then we went to see "The Spirit", it wasn't that great and bummed me out. But! When we were walking out of the mall we ran into Aaron Starkweather!!
He saw us and freaked out. He came over to me, picked me up, and spun me around!
Apparently he was only up for a day from NYC where he currently resides. So that was really cool and serendipitous.
Then Shawn and I took the train back to P-burgh and spent New Year's at his parent's house with his Aunt Cheryl as well. She's always a lot of fun haha. We had wine, spanakopita, some cranberry things, then we had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. After that, Shawn and I went down to the Monopole, got a drink, ran into Ricarte and Will, we all rang in the New Year together dancing to Elephantbear and eventually Shameless took to the stage so, a fun night!
Also, the next day I watched a ton of "The Twilight Zone" marathon on Sci-fi 'cuz I never miss it.
After all the festivities died down, it was time for me to search hardcore for a job. Funny thing, I actually applied for 4 positions at the hospital up here on Christmas Day, yeah... that's how hard I was searching. I wasn't taking a break for any holiday hahaha!
I ended up getting a position with a local travel agency that deals with people from all over the U.S. I'll be working with people over the phones who are looking to book cruises and resort packages as well as some other things, but those two mainly. It's pretty interesting and everyone I have met so far that works for the company is very warm and welcoming. Even the head president guy of the company is always walking around cracking jokes. If he stays that cool, it'll be nice to have a good manager after having Darryll!
I started training today and things went well, we'll see how things go in the coming weeks, but I'm excited about it. It's just all a matter of time-management, efficiency, and good personality when dealing with the customers. I'm just really excited about finally getting income, yay!
Also, I didn't get into the Grad. program, but I was on the Wait List. I didn't get in because no one declined their position, so I'm being deferred to the Fall, I just have to do the Interview portion again in March and this time I should get in!
