Music lovers across the UK are being invited to support a string of
events being staged in February to help one of the world's most highly
regarded singer-songwriters.
Americana fans will get the chance to enjoy one of the newest names on the circuit - Crosby Tyler - when he makes his UK debut. And in doing so, they will be rallying to help the legendary singer-songwriter-guitarist Peter Case.

Three-time-Grammy-nominee Case was all set to return to the
UK for a series of dates in England and Scotland, when he took
seriously ill in America and subsequently underwent double heart
by-pass surgery.
Now, his fans will get a chance to hear and see his latest protégé in action - and in the process raise vital cash to help towards
his recovery.

Case and Tyler have been working together for the last couple of years after first meeting at McCabe's guitar shop in Santa Monica. Case was immediately struck by the high calibre of Tyler's songs
and eventually the two wound up in the studio w/Case producing Tyler's newest album 10 Songs of America Today. The album features some of L.A.'s finest players including DJ Bonebrake, Duane Jarvis, Amy Farris, Phil Parlapiano and others as well as Case himself lending vocals and guitars to some of the tracks.

The album has been winning rave reviews since its release in the UK in December.
The CD is currently sitting at the number 16 slot on the Euro Americana Chart compiled from monthly returns sent in by music journalists and radio presenters and producers. Americana UK awarded it an 8 out of 10 rating and said "there are some gems here that would brighten up any radio playlist".

What does Case himself have to say about the performance style of his latest musical discovery? "It's like William Burroughs leading a campfire sing-a-long".

When his mentor suddenly took ill and the UK tour was threatened with
cancellation, Tyler offered to step in and play the shows - as
benefits for his friend. In recent weeks, both had been appearing on
stage together in the USA before Case was suddenly rushed to hospital.

Brookfield Knights had planned the entire tour and when they contacted individual promoters and asked if they would hold the dates and let the new kid on the block stand in to give Peter's fans a chance to raise money towards his massive medical care bills, ten of the thirteen on the schedule,
agreed to participate.

The response has been fantastic. Several venues are immediately
starting to run fund-raisers with people donating prizes for raffles and
Tyler has offered to donate half of his profits from all the shows.
Everyone who has bought a ticket will be able to claim a refund by
contacting individual venues, but we are hoping they would rather
turn out to hear Case's latest discovery - and maybe bring a few
friends with them to make sure these fund-raisers are a great success.
