I hear this all the time-

"His playing is of the devil!"

"I saw the devil pushing his bow and moving his fingers"

"Certainly those sounds come from hell itself!"

among other things said by the ignorant.

So many people think that because of my extraordinary playing, I made a deal with the devil.  Well, I am writing this today to tell you all that this is not true!  My playing is from hard work, experimentation, and endless practice.  Though I am not a religious man of God, I do not have any dealings with the devil either.  I pay very much attention to detail, and try to bring across to you what is in my head.  The devil has nothing to do with it.  Of course, these days the devil is a very popular being so I guess it's not all bad.  My music, however does not come from him.
