Hey man, good thoughts. I know bands don't make shit off cd's but I still buy them along with shirts, patches and other shit. It pisses me off that you can't hardly find patches at metal shows anymore. You guys had the best deal on shirts in Va beach, my girlfriend bought 2! We've got about 500 cd's and try to buy a few a month. I would like to buy the concealers album. Shit and the hinderers because someone ripped mine off along with five other cd's I had in my car at the time. But thats enough from me, stay true!

im all about downloading music. i prefer someone get something for it. not that i feel downloading is the downfall of the industry but its changed alot of things and not exactly for the better. when i get an mp3 or burnt cd free, i accept it but if im diggin it and its something im going to keep in my rotation of favorites, i always buy the cd. yes i like the the artwork, yes i like reading the booklet. the special thanks, studio credits, any little thing i can get if i really like the band. the fact that bands get charged so much per cd is retarded seeing as it cost a dollar or less to actually print the cd.
i personally think cds sound better but if another physical medium came out, id buy it. i have an mp3 player and i use it but i just rip the music off my cds most the time. i always have a physical copy to go back to if something happens to my mp3 player or wherever i may have saved my music.
however little a band makes from a cd sale, they deserve that money. they deserve way more. yes the record company in most cases should get paid to for the resources they use to promote and such, but keep in mind, if you like the band, you like them no matter what label they're on. if more bands stood up the the record companies, deal might be better. not sure how good a deal chimaira has but they seem to be very happy they left roadrunner. i guess im saying its similar to strikes in major sports, only if bands did it, no one would claim they are greedy, only the biggest bands make a good living of off being a professional band. the rest of the bands that make up most of the industry dont get paid nearly what they deserve for what they create and sweat and bleed years over. yes cds may be dead but its the least i can do to support the bands i love.

I BUY CDS BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TIME TO DOWNLOAD ALSO IT'S SMALL AND FIT INTO MY PURSE AND I WANT THEM TO LISTEN IN MY VEHICLE. ARTWORK??? YOU NEED THE PACKAGING TO LOOK NICE AND BRIGHT JUST THE OUSIDE COVER NOT WHOLE BOOKLET.. HOWEVER SPENDING BIG MONEY ON THE ART IS FRIVILIOUS. PICS OF BANDS WOULD BE BETTER FOR ME. I'M SICK AND TIRED OF DEVIL THIS AND THAT OR SKELETON THIS AND THAT..OR WEIRD FUNKY STUFF. STILL NEED SOME BUT BETTER ON SHIRTS . .

i buy cd's & always will. fukk mp3's they cost too much through itunes & fukk all with those bloody ipods. i've had my collection of thousands of cd's since i was 4yr old everything from Bathory to CCR to Temple of the Dog to Nightwish. you can't take away that kind of dedication.
Daath has my support on cd's....

I still buy CD's. It's rare to have the actual CD with the original artwork and all, and I like to collect them for my daughter to have when she gets older.

I've got waay to many cd's, dvd's and digipacks in my collection. I move fairly often, so hauling my frickin' archives gets to be a major hassle(and damn heavy). That and for myself its an inconvenience(sp?) because I love to switch it up alot, I always jump around to whatever I feel like, and stopping to take a cd out for one song is annoying. So alas, my Ipod is my saviour with but one exception: I filled my 160gb completely full several times, and every time I buy a couple new albums, something has to come off. It blows. I've had to make sacrifices on the quality of the music to fit it on there, and now I can't even keep all my songs. Sure I could shop around and find some huge mammoth mp3 player, but it'd be expensive and some unknown company probably. Ah well, tis a blessing & a curse to love my music so much.

I do! I prefer them to digital, having the physical copy with the artwork is the best! Plus it sounds better than digital files. Its sad that a lot of people don't care anymore...

I still do Buy Cds and dvds/VHS every what's in awhile when I go shopping and right now I'm looking forward to buy a Vinyl Record once I have a record player. I hate downloading now because every time i get a downloading site a few months or a year later it's messing up my computer and it happen to me like four times or more and it sucks, during that time i was still buying records/cds/Tapes and I remember back in the day the I had Napster, Kazaa, Lime Wire and 360 share and they all suck so bad my computer couldn't pick them, as of now the only time I download if it's one of those free Mixtapes/CDs & Mixmusic from Rappers, Reggae artist and Singers or if a metal band or anyartist in any genre is posting a Free EPs/Full Lenght album or mixtapes to grow a buzz hell just recently I downloaded Don the Reader EP on the band's website.
