The Steve & Joe Show is now four gigs down and six to go. It's been a real challenge to try and do something more interesting than just two blokes with guitars doing song after song. We're experimenting with visual projections and we're using some beautiful film footage (courtesy of the radio presenter/musicologist/film-maker Donal Dineen), as well as still shots of our own and footage from other sources. We're doing a load of new songs including one called - Thanks for the Photographs - where we're joined onstage by a projection of ourselves playing different instruments in sync with the song. It's hard to describe but we should have some footage from last Friday's gig on YouTube soon, if the audio doesn't sound too shit from the camera mic. We also play alongside a mystery drummer on the screen behind us for a couple of songs which is a good buzz.

It's been a great way to see what songs are working and what ones aren't before we record the next album. And it's kinda thrown us in a different direction which is good as we needed a shake-up of sorts. We still have to write some more though before we'll have enough to choose from. I'll post up a YouTube link as soon and let yiz know. Hope y'all had a good weekend....it's bloody freezing in Dublin!
