All are welcome. These teachings are designed for those who wish to transform mundane suffering into a profound awareness of one's self and others by cultivating deep love, compassion and understanding. The Buddhist tradition of training as a powerful hero, or Bodhisattva, is the practice said by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and numerous great adepts as the most powerful means to attain full enlightenment as a Buddha. Lama Jhampa has received numerous transmissions of this practice in his three decades as a Buddhist. He has been a student, meditator and teacher in India, Canada and now, where he is a resident lama in Mexico. In India, Jhampa lived in the Himalayas for 14 years, doing retreat, translating and attending teachings from the high lamas who made Dharamsala their refugee home after fleeing Tibet. He was secretary for Ling Rinpoche, the senior tutor to the Dalai Lama. He has studied and translated for high lamas in all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism and was has permission from the Dalai Lama to bestow tantric empowerments.
Lama Jhampa's talks are known for their humor, practical value and deep insights. The general public is welcome to attend any talks.
Suggested donation is $15 per session or $65 for all five sessions. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Bring a cushion if you have one. No registration is needed.
