Current mood: excited
Hello boys and girls, this is Casey and I just figured I'd post an update to let everyone know what's going on right now.
First off, we have the drum tracks for a few new songs completely finished, and are set to begin recording bass n' guitars within the next day or so. After that, Jeffrey will lay down some tasty vox and tracking will be done. If all goes according to plan, the songs should be mixed and mastered and ready for your ears by the middle of this month.
Once these new songs are done, our EP (that has yet to be given a name) will be pressed and available to you guys at our online merch store or at shows. We're really excited about finally being able to have a tangible CD, and we'll keep you posted as to when it will be available.
Something else for y'all to get pumped for is that when we put the new songs up on myspace, our layout's getting completely revamped, complete with a bunch of fancy bells and whistles, so keep an eye out for that.
With all of our focus going towards recording, we only have one show remaining this year before we go home for our Christmas break, and it's THURSDAY DECEMBER 11TH at THE ANCHOR in NASHVILLE, TN with Once Nothing. It's going to be a really fun show and everyone should come out and have a good time with us. We're also adding a few cool things to our live show, so come check it out if you can. After Christmas break ends and January rolls around, we'll be back in the game, better than ever to kick off the new year right.
Well that's the end of my novel, I just wanted to fill all you kids in on what's happening in the world of GYS. We're all really excited to get these new songs done, they've got everything from super br00tal parts to proggy melodic parts, and we hope you guys enjoy hearing them. Take care, and have a sweet holiday season.
