Its been around 10 years to this day when I first began work on up in smoke...and headed to mars, with the assistance and inspiration of my good friend M-OP, and as a celebration of that magical time both in life and in musical evolution, I have decided to pick up where I left off and begin work on the sequel Asthmosis.

By 1997 I had been dabbling with music for 5 years with my first (and still current) band primitive reason, and had by then recorded alternative prison, which is still to this day considered (at least by me) a masterpiece of originality and brave thought, but I had already hit a brick wall in what I considered to be my raison d'etre (other raisin?); alas, my creativity.

There are limitations to working with other humans, as there are limitations with working only with machines, and in order to fully savour the experience I had decided to explore both, and so I initiated the ultimate asthmatic experience and began work on up in smoke...

1 year later I had finished work on the double album, which I then shelved, passing out copies to only a select few friends who I thought maybe would understand the eclectic approach, and let the music leak out naturally to those who could be interested in experiencing it. Although my good friend M-OP continued to try to push forward, denoting great faith in the Life of Oota.

Now after 10 years, and thanks to the support and motivation of those who appreciated that work as something of true value, I have decided to actively pursue the destiny of One of the Asthmatics, and channel those underlying ideas once more.

Asthmosis: in veneration of music as art; to convey the constrasting emotions of everyday life, with all its mild skitzophrenic episodes and mental warps, and all the underlying emotions, of both frantic inner cacophony and deep peace and connectedness to the ultimate tone that pervades all things.
