Okay, so you must know that if a new movie is coming out as a follow up to one of the best Robot movies ever made involving giant robots, a epic score composed by Steve Jablonsky, and also directed by Michael Bay.... I am so there! Yes my friends I stood in line along with my fellow Autobot friends(Lacie, Lindz, and Mike) to see the long awaited sequel yesterday. It was good to see all my Midnight Showing friends I had made eagerly awaiting access to the theatre... Ah, what I would give to have not had popcorn spilled on me. Anyway, the movie...
The lights dimmed and the sound rolled, I was suddenly tossed back in time as soon as the little bobber thing of Dreamworks hit the water and it made the ever noticible Robot Grunt sound.... Maybe it was a grind? Anyway, I was unsure how they were going to begin this one.... From the previews I had expected something different, I don't know why, but the opening did present a important plot point, and you do see some robots...
Knowing how Michael Bay loves to biuld things and then Explode them in everyway possibly I should have known what was coming... But I was to wrapped up in seeing Optimus enter from the heavens.... Sorry for speaking partly in code... I would hate to spoil it for you.... I get goosebumps everytime I see him enter in his epic Robot way... Basically this is how the first part of the movie went.... Robot meets human.... BOOM BOM POW! Title of movie.... Shanghai Robot Human Optimus Boom BoOm BOOM BOOM POP POW PING ZIP (Explosion sound) Ba-Zing BOOM! Then we see Sam and Mikaela, Bumblebee, BOOM BOOM BOOM Dead robots in yard, Sams mom freaking out with Bootsies... Flash forward to college after a military robot moment, Boom boom Pow! Terminator robot thing, boom boom pow, old robot, egypt, lots of robots.... BANG BOOM ZIP POW Destroyer!, BANG BANG BOOM POW ZIP BASHINGA! BRATA BRATA BRATA "I am Megatron" Bang Bang Bang, "SAM!!!!" Bang BOOM! "I rise, you fall!" The end....
Okay, so that paragraph did not exactly cover the movie in its entirety... but do not mistake what I mean by BOOM! If you thought the first transformers had explosions... Wait until this movie begins... It is epic in that way, and you do see a WHOLE ASS LOAD of Autobots and Decepticons.... Plus an interesting back story.... I actually teared up at one point in the movie.... Lacie did too, so Ha!
I am gonna conclude this random and seemingly pointless entrie by saying that is it actually a incredible movie, do not let the television spots fool you, this movie is jam packed with robots and explosions.... I give it a 9 out of 10 on the basis that it does not have that New car smell to me for some reason.... It does progress the story, but it is a little zippy and extremely flashy.... at times it does look like a Car commercial, but it really is worth every penny. Not to mention Steve Joblonsky's work on the score is awesome... I highly advise you see this movie... Because words cant really describe it... Enjoy the Soundwave's lol
