Sixteen Candles - Final Scene - Movie Ending - A funny movie is a click away When I was a teen I could only dream of a moment like this. I have always loved this movie. I used to image my life to be like the lives of the teens on this movie. But in reality a girl like me could have never had the classy, handsome ,successful guy. I always settled for the bad boys or the crazy artist type guys. I guess I though that that kind of guy was a right fit for me. But life is so different now. Strangely now I have found my Jake Ryan in the middle of so much craziness. Every time I watch this scene I realize I have the type of man I have always dreamed of now. My Ike is a true gentleman. He treats me like a princess and respects me more than any man ever has. I am so blessed to have found him and I cant wait to turn old and gray by his side. I found a true friend and partner and I that God for bringing him into my life every day.

I believe God always wanted a man like Ike in your life Heather. Where you came from or what you have done is NOT who you are.
You are and have always been one of Gods precious children, uniquely made and everlastingly loved! The devil is a liar! You found your true friend because you found the truth! May God bless you both in His righteousness and wisdom that others may find the same! My love and prayers to you both my Sister!

I hope one day I find the Heavy Metal Warrior Princess or the Heavy Metal Valkyrie of my Dreams. I came close to it when I was stationed in Germany but it was a little too late. We met on New Year's 2001 and my end date of being stationed in Germany and last day in the Army was on May 28,2001. She lived in Berlin and I was stationed in Darmstadt which is far.

Generally speaking, Jewish men treat women very well. I remember going to a Jews for Jesus meeting once, and there was a lady (she's gentile) who said she was dating a Jewish man. She started to tell me that this guy was the nicest guy she ever went out with... Ok, then I really started to think about this inside joke my friends and I had discussed. So I told it to her. I said, "The reason why most Jewish men treat their women better is because they were raised by Jewish women (MOTHERS). LOL, think of what they had to put up! LOL. If you grew up with a Jewish woman, you know what I mean. I think Jewish woman can make some of the best lawyers. If you even try to debate any topic and you're wrong, you're in trouble. We can be strong at times, that's why Jewish men learn to respect their mothers. If you don't, you will never hear the end of it. Trust me! I know what I'm talking about! :) I must admit, my husband of 21 years is Jewish, and out of all the men I've ever dated, He is without a doubt the best! :)

"Just Another Day Without You" by Jon Secada. I like this song because it reminded me of my time in FL. When I was stationed in Ft. Drum,NY, my unit got called after Hurricane Andrew happened. My unit was supposed to go to England to train but this took priority. We were sent to help the people of Homestead,FL. We spent one month there and the people of FL were so nice. The civilians who lived in Watertown,NY which is the town outside of Ft. Drum hated the Military. They either made rude remarks to us or tried to start fights with us. They also hated us because they thought we were trying to steal their women. The people of FL really appreciated us. It's screwed up when you're treated better in a different town than your own. We only had 3 days of R & R but not in a row. The 1st one was at the Florida Keys, 2nd one was at a big field in Homestead, and 3rd was in Miami. Oh, about the Jon Secada song. At the big field they had a USO concert and Jon performed for us and thanked us. That's why I like this song. Plus it made me think about this Beautiful Cuban Girl I was talking to. I was very shy back then and tried to break it. I didn't get very far as in getting her phone #. Every time I was talking she was laughing. I asked if I was getting on her nerves and she said no. I also asked do you want me to leave you alone. She said no and was enjoying my company. This Cuban Senorita told me that I was making her laugh. She said that I should be on that stage because she thought that I was funny. I wasn't trying to be. I had to go to leave her company for a few minutes and told her I'd be back. I was walking around shaking hands with the Homestead People and telling them thank you for making us feel appreciated. They hugged me, all of the ones I met. Then I ran into my Army Buddies and they told me that some Girl was asking for me. They described her and I couldn't believe it. My Buds described the Girl I was talking to, clothing, hair, and all.I couldn't believe that girl probably liked me. I then walked backed and we continued talking. She continued laughing. Then Jon went up on stage and said thank you to the Troops. "Just Another Day" was about to be sung and then I asked her to please slow dance with me. She said yes with enthusiasm. I couldn't believe it. We slowed danced. After the song was over, I kissed her cheek. She kissed me back. I talked and she laughed. Then my unit had to leave back to our tent area. We kissed each other good bye and that was it. Now I hope you know why I like that song and what it means to me ,even though I'm a Metalhead.
