The new Goes Cube record comes out today.  I have zero problem with fashionable music;corner me at Mars Bar sometime and I'll tell you why Electoclash was the last gasp of New York City as a musically vibrant and truly influential city(hint:the argument involves gays,people of color, and no one having beards), but there's much to be said about bands that exist totally outside whatever is currently beloved by those who leave anonymous comments on BrooklynVegan.  Goes Cube was great last year. Goes Cube are going to be fucking great next year too. And for a number of years after that*. Go purchase the new record with money. In a store or online. But BUY it. The old rules still apply, despite what some may tell you.
