it's been a long week. thanks to a good friend, i scored two tickets to see the black keys last thursday. unfortunately i had to work until 10pm and my friend and i only got to see & hear 3 songs. after that we proceeded back to the crib to watch the talking heads' movie called true stories. somehow my bike was still at my 2nd job location (west end of ohio state campus). she drove me back there and dropped me off, since the bike couldn't fit in her car.
it must have been 1:15am, i rode my bike on campus near hopkins hall. i don't know if i hit something or blacked out due to exhaustion. but i was on the ground with my bike on top of me...i could see six people's silhouettes. mumuring of "is he okay?" and "maybe we should take the bike off of him"
i'm sure i was out for a few seconds or minutes (i don't know)....my back, head, and knee cap still kill me. yet i was lucky to be alive...i had a gig at the summit the next day. this bad luck was further repeated when i got my car towed and the chain on my bike breaking (probably due to the accident). it's not like i'm made of money, some good valuable records had to be sold.
but i guess it put things in perspective for me...that i need to slow down and can't worry about things that are over my boundaries. daymon would've laughed at my dumb luck. it proves that i can stick with my furthering of education, 2 mediocre jobs, and my life out. i felt the odds were against me. but for some reason i won't give up.
