I've noticed this, I used to get comments all the time on blogs but with so many different types of networking, no one has time to read everything let alone then comment.

Yes I do. In the beginning I was writing a blog a day on one site (I used to be on faceparty). Then I cut it to 3 a week when I was at college.
Now I probably write one blog in three weeks on this site, I put a few words on other sites, I've only just got twitter and I just don't understand it.
Most of the time I stick to 2 forums. One is the Smallworlds forum because I play that game, the other one is the Muse messageboard. 
In between all that, there is the offline world to deal with, so random blogs hardly ever get a comment on. I still read people's blogs. If they raise an issue I feel strongly about, then I'll post a comment.

I think this might be the same for most people. With the flood of different networks ; bebo, facebook, myspace, friends reunited and twiiter there's so many places for people to keep in touch that it's actually becoming a victim of it's own success. People post but no one answers.
Like a constantly ringing silent phone.
sad really.

What about you, do you post on other people's blogs?

Well to be honest I don't comment on other peoples blogs. Reason being is I am the person in charge of updating all our pages which I have to do in the free time around working six days a week, being at band practices four nights a week and seeing my beautiful girlfriend. I know a lot of younger people spend most their nights in front of a computer though (my girlfriend has 3 younger siblings) which is why i posed the question really. As long as people read them I don't mind if they don't comment. :)
