Who Gives Kudos:

Sunday, August 24, 2008

The past year has been a whirlwind for us...from starting the band on a whim to evolving into a monster of sorts with the addition of Mitch on bass...the songs have gotten better...the work ethic has gotten better and sometimes the grass is even greener. We have written 40 songs..released to ep's...one full length...sold excess of 2,000 copies and the last time i checked had been downloaded more than 30,000 times thru various file sharing sites....played close to 40 shows and somehow still had the time to get Corey married!!!The year has been busy...and we thank all of you for keeping us busy....it is greatly appreciated....

IT LOOKS AS IF..the TWIST THE SNAKE CD will be pushed back until after the new year...we will still have the sampler cds and dvds at shows..but the actually pressing of both are on hold as of now as we have some "slight" interest from a few labels...and i use the word slight to the best of my knowledge. We were advised to keep writing and kinda put everything on hold as far as releasing the cd/dvd......so that where that stands for now....

so with our one year as WMM coming in September...we felt the need to thank everyone (that i can remember) for being part of our ever growing friend and fan base...

Belinda,Kristy,Jamie and Maisie...we would be so far gone without you in our lives!!!!

Chuck and everyone at GOTTROCKS,Mick and everyone at GROUND ZERO,Lynne @ the CELLAR..you have worked hard for us even when we were unsure of what was ahead for us...Matt Morgan for letting us make a cd that we could be proud of...not tired of....Daryl Godfrey for being a true friend by leaving our band so you could wash Marshall Tuckers ass..hope you are having a great time,bro...JUNIOR for letting us invade your home and cooler...Blvd Music for being the best music store ever, and GARRETT WILLIAMS FOR MAKING A GREAT DVD...

and all the bands....REBEL,PANACEA,GHOST IN THE MACHINE,TEMPTATIONS WINGS,ELI COOK BAND,CADILLAC HIGH,HEATHER WILLIAMS PROJECT,BLITCH,HAVOC DIN,AUTOMAG,NOXIOUS,ABLAZING GRACE,BOOLOW,GOLIATH,STATE OF KONFUSION,ECHO CODE,WHISKEY HELLCHILD,MODERN DAY SLAVE and anyone else we have forgotten...even though some of you were left out on purpose...fucking bitches and thieves...

EXTRA MULLYFUCKIN' THANX goes to BIG D...he fights the fight and supports unsigned music and spreads the word to those whom heed the call....thank you brother!!!!

Take a drink..be somebody....

Donnie/WMM

Jam For George

Whiskey Mountain Machine flat out rocked the Jam for George 2007! It was obvious even then that this band had (and has!) great potential...something that needs to be supported by fans and clubs/promoters,record labels, etc. The general public usually doesn't realize the huge amount of time and effort that goes into that couple of hours on stage or into that recorded song.
WMM has the spark that sets them apart from the rest...keep the fire burnin'!!!
