Hello Everyone!
First things first, thanks for swinging by the profile to see what's going on in our little world these days. We always appreciate your interest and support.
I wanted to give everyone a bit of an update on what is going on with me and the boys for the fall season. I will most likely forget half of the things I want to say, but at least you'll get an idea! I'm gonna start off with some folks who are close to me that I want everyone to check out as soon as you get the chance!!
First of all, I want to give a shout out to Mary Abreu (the amazingly talented photographer of our most recent shots). She's also responsible for a lot of the behind the scene artistic stuff that I have at shows (t-shirst, buttons, website, etc). She was selected for a second time to have her work printed in Life Images magazine! I was shocked and so thrilled that she selected two pictures she took of me to send in for it. She has a total of 3 pictures in the magazine and I'm so proud of the work she has done!! CONGRATS MARY and make sure you check out the pictures she took of us on our profile and go out and pick up a copy Life Images of your own.
Second...you may have already heard of him. You may have heard me mention him at shows, but I'm telling everyone to go out and pick up a copy of Michael Koryta's four books!! He's a fantsatic author and a good friend of mine and if you want to learn more about him please find him on my top friends and check out his work. Keep an eye on him...you're gonna be seeing his name pop up all over the place soon. Congrats Michael...and looking forward to kicking butt again in basketball and catch phrase
ON TO BAND NEWS!
If you've been to any recent shows (other than our most recent Player's Pub show) you may have noticed someone missing. Oliver (bass) has left the band. No, no don't fret...he's decided to focus on school work and his career outside of music. He was on the most recent recordings on the profile so you can still enjoy him via the web! He will be playing around with a band named Doppleganger, which if you have a chance, make sure to check them out. There's always a chance I will drop him a line and try and talk him into sitting in with us, but we all wish him the best and LOVED sharing a stage with him. A great talent indeed and will be missed!
With that said...keep an eye out for the next addition to the group! We will be auditioning soon and I can't wait to see who brings a new flare to our sound!
Meanwhile, you're gonna see these nuts at future shows!!!
The newest songs haven't been available yet for download, but I have plans on having them avaialble for one week within the next month for just that! The response from everyone about the new songs as been AWESOME and we are so excited about getting in the studio to finish the record. It may be sometime as we are trying to figure out all the details of where to go, what it will cost, and who's gonna be backing us. Inside note, that's the 'not so fun' part of this job...but playing for you guys is what makes it worth every bit of it!
We are also now on http://soundtrack.mtv.com/jenncristy This is where a lot of music on MTV shows pops up from. You can get on there and vote for us to help us get picked up for some t.v. exposure!!
