We have been busy bees.
We have been wrapping ourselves in thunderous drum fills and crackling tube amplifier warmth, massive nests of tangled cables and espresso fuelled solos. From this, a new Parlour Steps record will be made.

While the sun blazes in through the windows of Ogre Studios, down here at Main and 2nd, we have been tinkering away in electro-acoustical bliss.
(I just spent a few minutes whacking a snare drum placed on the sounding board of a " prepared" piano, with pieces of loose paper braided through the strings to give it buzz and resonance)
We've been begging, borrowing, and stealing (with every intention of giving back) as many vintage and authentic ingredients to a grand musical endevour as we could lay our hot hands on. To name a few treaures we've utilized: Orange, Vox, Fender, VHT, Gretsch, Gibson, Studer, Ampex, Quantegy, Neumann, API, Universal Audio, Millennia, Neve, Telefunken, and many more.
From these electrical beasts we have coaxed some extrordinary sounds. We can't wait to share them with you. But you'll have to wait.
This weekend I borrow the venerable Neumann U47 microphone so we can start singing into it. Yum.
More Later,
Caleb
