YO from NYC!
Hey everybody, wanted to give you a little update on how the road is treating me. I've been in Manhattan for two days now, had a wonderful show last night at Googie's Lounge. Thanks to all my Floridian friends who now are New Yorkers that came out. It made me feel right at home, which in this city can be difficult. There really is no city like this in the country. I've been through Baltimore, Philly, Boston, all big cities. NYC is truly a concrete jungle and the ONLY place in this country, maybe the world that can make you feel a little nervous.
Things are going great, had a blast in Bean town. Thanks to everyone who came out at The Burren and a special thanks to Tom who hosts a GREAT open mic at The Lizzard Lounge in Cambridge, Mass. I've recently gained a navigator on my trip, which at this point is much needed. My girlfriend Mary, who some of you probably know joined me on the road in Boston and is being a pretty good sport about things. We'll see how she holds up!
Tonight, I am very excited about playing at The Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport, CT. I am fortunate enough to split the bill with an excellent musician, and New Yorker Gretchen Witt. If you are in the CT, NY area, please come out, you don't want to miss this show! Th next day, I'll be in Vineland, NJ sharing the stage with another great musician Dawn Iulg. Hope you all can make it!All this weekend, I'll be slowly making my trip southbound with shows in NJ, Philly and good ol' West Virginia!..country roads take me home..to da da..sorry, couldn't help myself. Gotta love some John Denver, former Aspen resident and forever linked to Kermit the frog, perhaps the greates puppet ever.
Anyways, thanks to everyone that has come out to the shows, you have made this tour amazing so far, hope to see some more new faces and old friends along the way.
