F.Y.I.  The Down East Country Music Association's (DECMA, pronounced "deckma") Songwriter & Recording Artists Award Show was held yesterday afternoon in Jay, Maine.  I entered two songs and they came in first place.

DECMA 2008 Bluegrass, sole writer, Song Of The Year: "Papa's Comin Home Tonight" by Mary Murphy.  (Hear it here on myspace.)

 DECMA 2008 Holiday, sole writer, song of the year:  "The Spirit Of Christmas Lingers" by Mary Murphy. 

There were a lot of good entries this year.
