Here's the last handful of reviews we received, all courtesy of NARC Magazine (www.narcmedia.com):

Demo - Life in a Box / Black and White

"There's a brooding solemnity at work in these two tracks from Strangers In Polaroids. There are perhaps obvious comparisons to Bloc Party or Biffy Clyro – musically and lyrically – Black And White in particular displays the dystopian, paranoiac emotion of Kele Okereke, but it's underpinned with pretty, ferocious guitars to knock you more off-kilter. Life In A Box is a subtler beast, still demonstrating a downbeat mood but more akin to Mansun at their less ebullient or to Jeff Buckley on his ill-fated Sketches album. All skittering drums and languid interplay between the guitar and vocals." - Matt Young

Supporting Grammatics @ Newcastle Academy 2, 09.08.08

"If stealing the show was indeed a crime, Strangers In Polaroids would have been locked up long before now. They had no right to step on to the Academy stage tonight and take the limelight from the headliners, but they did, and they did it in style. Looking quite at home on the Academy stage, the band came of age tonight, and made the night their own. The ominously moody Red Queen stood out a mile in this exemplary set, and it seems that every time they play, Strangers In Polaroids get a little bit better." - Tommy Jackson

Supporting Rose Kemp @ The End, 21.09.08

"It was the last gig for Strangers In Polaroids and they played with a suitable gusto, bashing out several stellar indie-pop jams filled with rich dynamics and plenty of hidden grooves. It wasn't just a shout from their new biggest fan (read: drunk guy in the crowd who yelled out "you lot are fookin' brilliant like!") that made it feel like a definite shame it was their last show." - Richard MacFarlane

Just realised it's been a month since that gig... feels like forever ago.

We've also uploaded photos from the above two gigs, again thanks to the much talented Tommy Jackson, and from our final press shoot with Mr Richard Bartram. Thank you both for your continuing support in the photographic and journalistic realms.

There might be a couple of other things to come... otherwise it's on with the new.
