Almost everyone had their porch lights off! And one guy had it on, but when he answered his door in a wifebeater, he said, "Ain't got no candy!"

I can't believe people would use an excuse like the economy to not give 25-cent candies to kids. It's not like they're giving up their beers!

We were out for the evening, so we left a basket of candy outside our apartment door. It looks like no one took anything. Oh well. Happy Halloween.

we left candy outside our apartment and in the two minutes it took me to grab a little plant stand to put the bowl on top, someone (something?) took ALL OF THEM! i'm surprised they didn't take the bowl. no candy for the rest of the kiddies, and we felt bad.

DeAd FLESH REANIMATed: we put a sign over the unattended bowl that states "The Watchers are watching, their blood is cold".   It goes on poetically to explain that if anyone takes more than their fair share, they'll be haunted and tormented by The Watchers for the rest of their days.  The first time we put it up, I almost felt bad when we got home late and discovered the bowl was still half full! 

You might try something like that next time.

I'll have you know we decorated our house and had a strobe light (strobe lights make everything better)!  We went through so much candy Jim had to go buy more.   Several young girls told me they liked my costume, but I wasn't wearing one.  I think maybe I wear too much black for Muhlenberg County.
