What the carnival of electric illusions is!

The Carnival of Electric Illusions is the only art and fashion based club in sydney. We encourage everyone who enters the club to dress up because you dont just come down to the carnival to watch the spontaniouse performances that happen during the night, but you are apart of the performance and adding to the atmosphere by looking as best as you can get yourslef to look. Think of it as walking into a movie and being apart of the cast. The organisers of the carnival belive that we are not only artists but works of art and like to push colour to the extreem. We want the carnival to be sydneys dictionary. a place and hub of refrence. When you go to a carnival you are experiencing some of  the worlds  greatest music, seeing some of the greatest emerging artists of today (including bands, perfromance and projections) and seeing some of the latest avant garde fashion.but also involving yourself in greate conversation with people of like minded agenders.The people that usually come to the carnival are very interesting and usually have skills they can share. You can introduce yourself and maybe find yourself making music or art or any sort of  colaboration with some of these people. People of the carnival usually dont have there cool on so much that the room is thick with uncomfortable vibes.

We try to have as many photographers there on the night to capture everyones efforts and styles and put them up for all to see on our myspace. We want the carnival to be about everyone and utalise everyones creative skills because sydney needs somewhere where creativity is nutured and encouraged. Thus creating a bigger creative explosion.
