Current mood:  focused
Category: Life

It has been a while since I have taken the time to reflect and share everything that has been going on in my life and musical endeavors.  So here it goes, the lastest adventures of Lacey D!

After I returned from Nashville with a completed 'master' of my album, it seems that almost immediately I wanted to return. It was there that I felt my dreams where going to become reality. So, I planned my next trip. January 20-24th.

Between November and December my mind was focused on the release of my album, local and national interviews, meetings and of course, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. This year, I have so many things that I'm grateful for, and although the holidays have come and gone, I continue to count my blessings as my album release was a sucess, and I am still making positive steps and reaching new heights in my career.

The first week in January I had an opportunity to travel to Torrington Wy. to perform at a local honky tonk and get some radio play with their local station. I was surrounded by great company and was able to meet their community who embraced me and my music. All in all, a great trip!

As January 20-24 (my trip to Nashville) approached, my team and I put together a plan. We wanted to make our 4 days in Music City the best we could. While I was in town, I visited Bayou Recording Studio where I recorded. The family at Bayou gave me a warm welcome. It was so nice to return to Music Row and feel right at home. I also met Billy Block at the Cadillac Ranch, where hopefuly I will debut sometime in April or May. He has a Tuesday night show that is brodcasted worldwide and has invited me to be apart of his showcase. We rocked out on Broadway with some friends, went to a songwriters night (where I reconnected with Dave Northrup, the drummer on my session, and also Travis Tritts' drummer), followed up on a invitation from Country Weekly Magazine to come to their office and meet the staff, and last but most importantly, met with my attorny who is helping us formulate a plan for my next steps on this wild ride = )

I feel like Februry is going to be a great month. CMA Closeup (Nashville based) has an article on me in the Feb/March issue, I had a great interview last month with POPCULTUREMADNESS.COM that should also be published the month of February. For all the locals here in Washington, an article and interview with The Everett Harold will be out FEB 5TH.

I have been so blessed to have made such great friends, met such loyal fans, and have continued support from my family and loved ones! 2008 is off to a great start! I plan on putting a band together and booking shows! I'm getting airplay in Germany, Australia, Torrington Wy., Internet radio, I'm NOW AVAILABLE on Itunes and my website through Digstation and CD Baby.  You can also buy my CD at Silver Platters in Seattle.  I want to thank all my fans for making this all possible!

Thank you for all your encouraging comments, messages and support! I will continue to keep you all updated and informed of what's going on in my music world!

Love to all!!

Lacey D

Glad you had a great time there, Lacey. Congrats on the album. I will be getting it, of course. Also congrats on the interviews. Looks like you are on your way up, young lady. Couldn't be more happy for you. You deserve it. You take care and hope this year is the best. Oh yeah, like the new picture too, very pretty!
