The holiday season is officially here and you know what that means: it's time to party! So for all you party planners make sure that you have these pointers on your planning list.

1. Greetings: The person placed at the front door to greet your guests must be dressed appropriately, have a nice smile and most importantly: KNOW who's on the guest list. There should be no SCRUBS at the front door checking the list.


2. Press RSVP: Any legitimate media representation is worthy of entry. Your door person should be receptive to any viable media outlet that's willing to attend and cover your event.


3. Atmosphere: Most great parties have a theme. Make sure there's always a reason to party or else, you're just another promoter.


4. Palate Temptation: Delicious appetizers and Liquor is a plus--everyone goes to an event knowing that there will be some libation or food there. One must have these formulas to engage the crowd.


5. Let's get this Party started! The DJ will always be the 1 factor to a successful event. They control the mood, atmosphere and keep a continuous vibe going. Remember: The DJ you choose can also make or break your event.

Have a happy and safe holiday [but] more importantly--have a great time and party it up! and remember no Scrubs at the front door doing your guest list.
