For the last few months, I have watched more movies than since I was a young girl. My friend has been taking movies out of the library for me and I have been delighted by some of the selections. In the 1950's there was a movie with June Allyson and Jack Lemmon called "You Can't Run Away From It". It was a remake of the Clark Gable/Claudette Colbert movie "It Happened One Night". I had never seen the latter but the former was a movie that led me to find out it would cost $ 64 to go from my hometown to Los Angles. That seems like nothing now, eh? Needless to say ---- I never went.
The point, and I do have one, is that people can never escape their past no matter how far they are from it. Yes, life does go on, and I'm all for that. However, if responsibility for harm; damage; irrevocable injury isn't met, then your life isn't yours, until you own up to the responsibility.
