Current mood:Desiring More of God

Jonh 6:29 "Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent (that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger)"

This is amazing! The work God asks of us is too simply to believe! Believe in the Son Jesus Christ whom the Father has sent. Do you believe? It seems so weird for Jesus to say something to this nature considering the fact that the disciples witnessed almost all of His miracles. But yet, that's just it. We are not to believe because of the things we see, such as; miracles, signs, wonders, and big buildings :)- (not knocking prosperity, just stating a fact) this is not and can't be the basis of our faith. It's just a by-product of what happens when you have Faith! See our foundation is Jesus. This is the service that we have been called to according to the Word. So choose this day to believe! Not by what you see, but belief in the Son who was sent for you and me! Believe.... ....

Say ....

God is for you! So start seeking Him, with a passionate desire to see Him pleased - saylah....

The Scriptures clearly teach that the effects of sin have extended to all parts of our being, rendering us incapable of spiritual understanding and love towards God. This does not indicate that all people are as wicked as they could possibly be in all areas of belief and practice. However, sin has so fully and deeply affected our lives that, spiritually speaking, we are in a totally hopeless condition, unable to do anything to get ourselves out of this fallen state.

Our natural spiritual incapacity prevents us from being able to respond by our own strength to the call of the gospel message, yet this does not remove our guilt. We choose to follow the natural inclinations of our depraved hearts because when left to ourselves that is all we want to do.

Ephesians 4:18; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 1:30; John 15:25; Luke 19:14; John 5:40; Isaiah 5:20; Titus 1:15; Deuteronomy 32:18; Hebrews 2:1; John 12:39; John 6:44+65; John 3:18.

When the gospel is preached, an invitation is issued by the Lord to all people to come to him for salvation. However, as the first article clearly states, the natural state of all people renders them incapable of responding to this invitation, except to reject it. So when God calls an elect sinner to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus, he does so by sending his Holy Spirit to work a great change in that sinner's heart, enabling them to see their sin and their need of a savior and leading them to put their faith in Christ alone for salvation. The Lord, by his Spirit, irresistibly draws his elect to himself, raising them to spiritual life and making them willing to trust in Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30;John 1:13, John 6:37; Matthew 23:37; John 5:40; Ephesians 1&2; Ezekiel 11:19-20, Ezekiel 36:24-27; Psalm 110:3; 2 Thessalonians 1:11.

To say all we have to do is "Simply" Believe is a grave understatment. We must fall face down before a Holy God, under the weight of our sin.
We must face our wicked depraved hearts before the Law of the Almight, and thus flee the wrath to Come! If God does not work in a mans heart he will never Believe!

Jesus Speaking of Salvation! Matt 19:23-26... 23And Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." 25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?" 26But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Appreciate the well thought out response fam. My heart in putting this blog out was too simply state that God is looking for us His people to follow HIM to. To believe in HIM, not the materialism, not things that we see but producing faith to believe in that which is unseen.

The scripture states it perfect "Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent"

It's that simple. The question is do you BELIEVE? Yes we must fall face down before a Holy God, under the weight of our sin, so true bro. But even that starts with a CHOICE. In Order for me to Look Inside at my heart, I must choose to do that. It's start with a CHOICE and that my friend is the simplicity I'm talking about. Simply, choosing YES or No. Am I going to die in my sin and face the gates of HELL or will I Choose to believe in Him and gain eternal life.(John 3:15) Peep John 3:15-21...(It's all a choice, don't believe in him you will already be condemned, believe in him you're not condemned, a simple choice)

I write this in LOVE bro... love the fact that you responded too!

Stand Strong,
Say
John 3:30
