I just happened to notice this, figured it could use a repost.
Hi Rev,
I cannot find a way to email you directly from this blog, so this will have to do. It seems you are using this blogger instead of compoundglory, on which I found your moving tribute to Tony Seaton.
I was Tony's roommate for two years (1980-82) when we both attended Marshall University. I live in London, England these days, and only recently learned of his sad death. A google search found your posts, which was the best compilation of obituaries and tributes I found. You were obviously deeply affected by Tony's death; please accept my condolences for your loss, not that it really does any good, does it? Unfortunately, Tony and I had lost touch over the years, but I sometimes thought about him and wondered how he was doing. My last contact with him was a brief email correspondence, probably in '99 or 2000. You sound like you were a good friend to him, and I know first-hand how generous and loyal he could be. I knew his brothers Michael and Jimmy well, as well as both his parents who were always kind to me. My thoughts were with them, and yourself, as I drained a glass of Maker's Mark tonight.
John
