GB LEIGHTON ANNOUNCES NATIONAL TOUR

Minnesota-based band 'Shakes Them Ghosts'

(Nashville, TN) – Averaging over 200 shows a year, it comes as no surprise that GB Leighton is taking their tour nationally with dates in Dallas, New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, Washington DC and New York, among others, in support of their new album, Shake Them Ghosts. Known throughout their home state of Minnesota for outrageous shows and heartfelt lyrics, GB Leighton was approached to join legendary BoDeans on tour set to kick-off March 21st in Dallas, Texas.

"I have been a fan of the BoDeans since Love, Hope, Sex, and Dreams came out," says frontman Brian Leighton. "We just did a few shows together at the end of 2007, and now, to be able to go out with them for a month, is a great opportunity. As a musician, it's great to be able to tour with a band that I am a fan of and can have fun performing with each night."

Brian Leighton and his six-piece band have been tearing up rock clubs all across the Midwest for nearly 10 years. Described as "Minnesota's best kept secret" by Rock Music Review and "Minnesota's top-drawing bar band" by Billboard, the band celebrated the opening of their first-class, high-tech nightclub named after a song on their first album, Pickle Park. Not since Prince opened Glam Slam in downtown Minneapolis has any Minnesota musician opened a club where fans can expect to see a hometown rocker and his band play live regularly.

"It's something I've wanted for a long time, and when club owners approached me about the idea, I was all over it. It's really going to be a way for people to see another side of me, just like Shake Them Ghosts."

With a national spotlight on GB Leighton and a new album produced by Don Dixon (R.E.M., The Smithereens), fans can rest assured that this tour is only the beginning of many great things to come. The band truly is 'shaking the ghosts' that have haunted them and spreading their music to new fans while maintaining their allegiance to the ones that have helped them get here!

While this is incredibly exciting for you, I will probably miss ya'll like crazy! I'm serious. You'll find me wandering around, completely lost and not knowing what I should do, saying, "GB......GB.....", just repeating that over and over. :-D I love you guys! I wish you nothing but the best, you know that......I think a road trip will be in order at some point during the trip because you know I can't let you go that long without seeing me! hahahaha. Lots of love and congratulations to you! ♥

Brian,

Well done my friend! You deserve all the success.

Don't get hooked on Soap Opera's on the road. I was partial to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS when I went on the road. Addictive stuff.

As someone who's been in the trenches with you since the 90's, I'm proud of you and so are the rest of us in the scene.
