The intention of this article is to enlighten and spread awareness, not to offend.  Fear of the unknown is the leading cause of separation and judgmental attitudes.  However, reaching out and exploring the unknown in love may just suprise you in what you learn.  Naturally, the intentional spiritual path you've chosen is indeed your choice -- living by the Freewill Principle.  When we respect and honor each other, we live in harmony with a unified mindset.

I'm Not Religious!

What amazes me is that some people will say that they are not religious, just spiritual, yet cling on to the traditions, dogmas or messenger from a particular religion.   Not to pick on "Christians" (since I once considered myself with that "label"), but saying you are spiritual, yet still believing that "Jesus" is your savior and that the Bible is the only true word of God - still follows the logic that you are a Christian, which is indeed a religion - thus religious.  The same of course could be said for any follower of Agnosticism, Atheism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Muslim, Wiccan, etc. These too are "labels" that have so many interpretations and boundaries.

So exactly why do people not wish to be called or referred to as "religious" -  most likely it's because it comes with the connotation that you may be over zealous in defending what you hold to be your Truth, and will argue with others about what is true or not, without realizing that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs as well.

The "my God" is the only true god syndrome has caused more anguish, killing, wars and arguments than any other subject - besides maybe politics.  Speaking of which, let's go back to the statements made by George W Bush in 2003 - God told me to invade Iraq.

See what religions do - the war for peace mentality, when in reality, this is simply a continuation of divide and conquer = for control

Most people do not truly understand that war is a highly profitable business and the winners are those who care nothing about anyone except for their own gain and control.   Read the small book 'War is a Racket' here:  www.warisaracket.com

Which, if any, of the 10,000 world religions is the true one?  -- enlightening article:

http://www.religioustolerance.org/reltrue.htm

But you already know!  Yet you don't want to know the Truth, you want to know the truth as you understand it.  This is the greatest barrier to your enlightenment.  You think you already know the truth!  You think you already understand how it is.  So you agree with everything you see, hear or read that falls into that paradigm of your understanding, and reject everything which does not.  And this you call learning.  This you call being open minded.  Alas, you can never be open to anything new, so long as you are closed to everything save your own Truth.

Let's consider this approach --  celebrating the differences in people while viewing everyone through the eyes of oneness nurtures powerful connections and creates a plane of existence where everyone is mutually supportive and respectful.  When we replace this spirit of separateness with compassion, much of the friction in human relations will disappear. When we realize that we all are one, then there will be no impulse to jealousy and no room for conflict. There will be no inclination to like or dislike people; everyone will be regarded with the eyes of compassion and love  ~ Neale Donald Walsch

"Souls don't have races or sexes or religions. They are beyond artificial divisions" ~ Brian Weiss

Intolerance of differences always exists in people who don't know who they are, people who don't have a strong sense of their own authentic self, the soul within.  Intolerance is rooted in fear.

The basis for having a strong sense of self-esteem is to replace our unconscious idea of basic unworthiness with a conscious knowing of our fundamental inherent goodnessAs Matthew Fox states in "Original Blessing", the notion of 'original sin' must be replaced with the truth of 'original blessing'  Being in touch with our essential goodness, we can see the essential goodness in others as well.

"Beliefs separate. Loving thoughts unite" ~ Paul Ferrini

So what is the answer?   You instinctively already know.  Yet, with years of programming, many have been conditioned and feel they must give their power away.  They need a savior or some messenger or religious icon that they can "hang their hat on"

Spirit - the life force exists in everything.  It follows, then, that ANY path, any encounter is spiritual if we have the awareness to see it as such. Going deeper, going higher, emptying, connecting, believing or disbelieving, bouncing off the bottom, experiencing the heights, in pain, in ecstasy.

Too often, we search afar for our own purpose when it is IN our lives all the time, waiting for us to express it more openly. Bring greater awareness to each encounter and situation in life. Tune IN to what you are inspired to do, who you are inspired to be. Your answers are waiting for you to pay attention - every moment!  Peace is truly found within.

"He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye" ~ Siddhārtha Gautama

The Story of the 8 Monkeys  (this is reportedly based on an actual experiment conducted in the UK):

Put eight monkeys in a room. In the middle of the room is a ladder, leading to a bunch of bananas hanging from a hook on the ceiling.

Each time a monkey tries to climb the ladder, all the monkeys are sprayed with ice water, which makes them miserable. Soon enough, whenever a monkey attempts to climb the ladder, all of the other monkeys, not wanting to be sprayed, set upon him and beat him up.

Soon, none of the eight monkeys ever attempts to climb the ladder.

One of the original monkeys is then removed, and a new monkey is put in the room. Seeing the bananas and the ladder, he wonders why none of the other monkeys are doing the obvious. But undaunted, he immediately begins to climb the ladder.

All the other monkeys fall upon him and beat him silly. He has no idea why.  However, he no longer attempts to climb the ladder.

A second original monkey is removed and replaced. The newcomer again attempts to climb the ladder, but all the other monkeys hammer the crap out of him.

This includes the previous new monkey, who, grateful that he's not on the receiving end this time, participates in the beating because all the other monkeys are doing it. However, he has no idea why he's attacking the new monkey.

One by one, all the original monkeys are replaced.  Eight new monkeys are now in the room. None of them have ever been sprayed by ice water.

None of them attempt to climb the ladder.  All of them will enthusiastically beat up any new monkey who tries, without having any idea why.

Sometimes, this feels like life.  People just accept the status quo as truth because others are seemingly doing the same, without knowing why they do that. They are not quite sure whether what they have been doing all along can be improved or changed.  They may even say it's the policy or a matter of public opinion.  At times, it feels it's just the standard practices that have been passed down from one generation to the next.  Nothing else.  Then if someone ask questions that are too far out of the comfort zone, that someone is ridiculed and scorned.  All they did was ask a simple question that the others did not wish to think about.  Just like the new monkey, who has no any idea why.

"Peace is not won by those who fiercely guard their differences, but by those who with open minds and hearts seek out connections" ~ Katherine Paterson

MAY I KISS THE HAND THAT WROTE THIS BLOG. You are breakthrough in our polite society.

..If someone ask questions that are too far out of the comfort zone, that someone is ridiculed and scorned..

James Joyce can only work outside the established social order and he respected not by his countrymen but by his serious & honest reAder. By all honesty, James Joyce influenced a lot of great writers((financial journalist in particular) in today's high-end elite journal.

When the Irishman is found outside of Ireland in another environment, he very often becomes a respected man. The economic and intellectual conditions that prevail in his own country do not permit the development of individuality. No one who has any self-respect stays in Ireland, but flees afar as though from a country that has undergone the visitation of an angered Jove.

The ending of this blog reminded me of one good movie Hollywoodland(the ending). He has no idea,(of all the queries)What & Why? The Pianist must move on for the sake or for the love of Being(kids).

Just like the ending of Ulysses. Yes,Yes & Yes.

THE CLOSER WE GET TO OUR GOD SELF, THE MORE WE RECOGNIZE THAT EVERY PATH, EVERY LENS, EVERY ARCHETYPE, IS LEGITIMATE AND AN INHERENT ASPECT OF THE WHOLENESS WE SEEK. THERE ARE MANY ROADS TO GOD, TO BE SURE, BUT ONCE WE GET A LITTLE HIGHER UP IN ALTITUDE, WE SEE THAT ONE ROAD LEADS TO THE OTHER LEADS TO THE OTHER. THE MORE ROADS YOU TAKE TO GET THERE, THE MORE COMPLETE YOUR ASCENSION.

BEAUTIFUL BLOG DUDE...

I was with you till the part where you said "what is the answer?" and proposed spirit and souls which are just religious mythological icons as much as jesus or thor, that you have been programmed & conditioned to believe. there's no solid definition for either soul or spirit, and no evidence that either exist any more than zeus or superman or the four humors.

beautiful. i love the 8 monkeys story. what a great way to show how conditioned behavior can be and this is how the vast majority of people are and never question it.

there is also the 100 monkey theory: in the pacific when a total of 100 monkeys on various islands discovered that they could open an coconut by throwing it on rocks beneath the tree suddenly all the monkeys on all the islands had and exercised this knowledge. the same could happen with human's and the knowing of oneness.
wonder what the tipping number is for us?

all ya need is one :)

Let me get this straight....you are actually denouncing the Word of God saying it is just something people do without knowing? I am a Christian because I Choose God, I Choose Jesus...I am intelligent, well read, and am a follower of Christ not man.,and will stand up for God every time, particulary in a day and age where being a believer is such the "un-cool" thing to do.
Be carefull what you preach out there, you have a responsibility to those who read your stuff!

I am not religious.

I agree with you. I believe that religion was transformed into a tool to GOVERN and CONTROL people in ancient times. Look at the ancient Catholics. (I apologize if I offend anyone). Even before that, there where excerpts taken out of the bible or re-written, because it did not go along with the what government was trying to get the people to do or to believe.

I believe religion got away from what it truly was, a guideline or philosophy in which we should use to live our lives. It was supposed to teach us to love thy neighbor, not revel in riches and material things, etc. I do not believe that one religion is the 'right' religion, and I do not believe in all of this 'fire and brim stone' that is taught within religions.
WHY would 'GOD' create such a beautiful world with beautiful people and wonders, simply to damn most of them to HELL because they do not believe in the right religion?

My wish is for people to open their eyes and seek out the truth. Truth is if you look any one religion and its core beliefs, they pretty much say the same thing.. just tailored over time to certain cultures. No ONE religion is the right one.

Cher, you are exactly right!! At the core, they (religions/dogmas) are ALL the same...viewed & interpreted thru different personality/ego/incarnated beings each with their own limited understandings of the higher essence/spirit/truth/beauty of the Universe.
There is a famous
poem: Beauty is Truth; and Truth Beauty.
I like it as: Truth = Beauty (the highest form or essence in each thing/being) = LOVE!!
Namaste and Peace, light, LOVE

Ok im gonna stand out on a limb on this one - I have studied from Summeria, Akkadia, Torah thru to the Qu'uran - in a hope of finding out more - in my 20 year quest I have established many many reference points that have supported many many of the posts that have been put up. However the denial of Christ is one of the biggest threats ever. There are many books NOT included in the New Testamant like the Dead Sea Scrolls the Nag Hammidi Library and the more recent Judas and Mary Magdalene texts. I would suggest anyone who is on the path to asking more questions and trying to obtain greater understanding on who and what the human race is really all about to at least read these texts listed above - only then will you grasp maybe our true self and what the Christ was trying to say in the New Testament. The Book is missing these teachings and I can assure that you will look at the saviour and in addition the human race in a different light. Im not here to preach as it is the inviduals choice and reality of preceptive understanding to understand that their is a real need to shift social conscienceness. These posts that imply that the New Testament was just a make up book to control the masses are just dis-information as preached by the Zeitgeist movement and the Venus Project whcih in addition if ANY one has truly sat through the 2 films (have you?) you will see them to be well produced marketing for a Utopian society that preaches New World Order values - no religion - no monetry system (that we would have) ONE leader - One World state etc etc - you are being sold to at a higher level than you are currently able to percieve without reading the Dead Sea and Nag Hammidi books. Posts like this going viral will only serve the elite in their soul harvesting sport that they have enjoyed for millenia. peace to all mankind and humanoids in their time in the physical world - peace and love to all brothers and sisters who are awakening as I write this.

Absolutely wonderful article you wrote. I've been challenging everyone to open their minds for so long now. I can't force them to understand, but I can put the information out there. It will eventually resonate with them after so long, that they will begin to look it up.

The meek shall inherit the earth
Solomon AZar

in the observation of mankind- it is evident man acknoledges first place- in sports- in science- in whatever- we even give prizes and titles to such- once the battle for first place is won- and let noone be misunderstood- it is a BATTLE as all people deserve chance to join in com, pettition and secre prize during our lives upon the planet- however, once over- what happens- ALL people ACCEPT and submit to who won- it is common amognst mankind witnessinf it and thus no disputes- ALSO- immediatly- those who are second and third and still competing in such endevours now try to knock you off first place and make a better one in time- physical or mental achiement- this is mans game or time upon the planet-

THUS- in reliogen- all people must choose the winner- it is CHRIST- all people of the earth mnust choose christ as king- love and respect all ways of mankind- but let a child in the new generation in order for global peace and unification to be given a chance to submit and agree to the winner of ideologoes in which god tries to talk to our souls- THIS IS CHRIST-

christ is leader for america- children of all nations reside in her belly- all children of several generations now see beuty of christmas and gift giving and s a spirit of love and peace during this time- the children of all nations see this gift- america lands on MOON- symbol of islam- so much to say in this support-

for global unification to be possivble all nations peoples led by american desceandants of all nations must come together and declare the christ king- speak english offically in governemmets as primary seconadry language- this two acts alone will create a bond in the children towards peace and unification-

THEN- all this new age advancements can take place- there is still half the world sick and poor and withoput water in desert- new age mumbo jumbo goes nowhere at the bottom level of life- first all mankind must have masplows lowest level of existence to intitae this next plane of existence-

all new age persons must submit first-all scientists of atheistic and secualr nature must submit-

I have now repeated these words for over one year as i disclose only true solution to energy crisis good to mother earth as a disciple of god- ALL IGNORE- theists and atheists- you are all still selfish backstabbing monkeys- i predict global nuclear war over energy with iran russia and many others as nations must have energy to run heat-water-electricity for computer for privileged people on net to play their silly little games-

I am the messiah- my message- CHRIST IS KING- all must submit- can we do this without global war- i am disgusted in your lack of help- i believe you will fail but all is well- from the ashes of this generation will a stronger one emerge fully aware for a greater world to come- when presented with solutions act on it- as clearly my ten years upon this net proves all do nothing unless you sign paycheck- still a slave to money- all slaves- so it must be for monkey to grow and become children of god- all ius well- one step at a time - you want days of faith to end- man must earn it-

Solomon -- i.e. assemble at a table, someone each from China, India, Turkey, Israel and America and you will have 5 different belief systems. Each will believe that their "belief/religion" is the correct one, yet they all cannot be. What is the simplest answer - Let's celebrate the message of Love - rather than the messenger. "It is better to Love than to be right" ~ Mother Theresa.

As a man of science, you surely are familiar with energies.

Perception is our reality, and what we focus on is our reality, our energy.

Fear of loss is one of the biggest motivators used by the controllers.

We are in an age of great awakening/revealing.

Two vibrational energies exist so that we may learn the keys to flowing in the Universe: Attraction, Intention, Allowance & Balance.

In this life experiment, we accelerate our growth by experiencing the lessons of both energies.

Think of it this way, when there is gray, then this is the breeding ground for confusion and deception.

Suggestion - read the book 'Power vs Force' by David Hawkins.

ENERGIES

positive -//- negative

Love -//- Fear/hate

honor -//- dishonor

harmony -//- grief

unity -//- war/separation

freedom -//- control

gratitude -//- greed

joy -//- pain

sunshine -//- rain

light -//- dark

Practice being aware of Victim consciousness so it can be changed by choosing a Love consciousness - be in the NOW moment. Energy flows where attention goes....what's your attention focused on?
