Tuesday November 28th, Triple Threat jumped back in the studio. This time around we were recording one track for an upcoming compilation on Revelation. The idea for this comp that Rev is doing is to have modern day hardcore bands cover songs from the early Rev bands. We were originally asked back when the whole idea came together, sometime early in the year. Unfortunately at the time that we were originally asked, we were in the process of recording for our LP. At that time we just had too much on our plate, so we passed on the offer. Fast forward to October and we get a second chance offer to be apart of the comp. At this point we were freed up and had plenty of time on our hands, so we made it happen. We decided to cover a song from Revelation:6, the No For An Answer "You Laugh" EP. We went with "Without A Reason", one of my personal favorites from that EP. We practiced the song quite a bit throughout November. Our goal was to cover it as well as we could and do it justice, but also ad a bit of our own feel to the song. In the end, I think it came out pretty cool. All the music was recorded live and I did the vocals in one take, so it's got a pretty raw, yet powerful sound. Hopefully the rest of the compilation comes together well. We'll keep you posted on it's release date.
