Essentially, contrary to seemingly popular belief, Sleepers is just myself (Silas). Sleepers is not a band, and Sleepers will never be a band. I state that once, in the hopes that the simple message will carry over to the minds of the obviously feeble, as one cannot hope that said minds and their containers can grasp such a simple concept. I do not like repeating myself over and over, and I do not like people who do not take the time to read something as easily constructed as a Myspace page and its contents

In spirit, Sleepers consists of every single musician, artist, et cetera who feels that he or she should be a part of it.

If you would like to send a two minute audio clip of yourself screaming hysterically, ranting on about doomiful things, or doing just about anything else that involves sound, and I enjoy it or am unnerved by it, then you get added into a song, and credited in the liner notes of whichever album it may or may not end up on.

However, if you would like to truly collaborate with Sleepers, then it will be a Sleepers project, and you will become a part of the collective. At random times, I may actually give a little way in my 'ethics' and do a split with someone if I REALLY enjoy what they do, but splits will be a rare thing for me. I usually consider it just more of the same. Sounds have to juxtapose against each other in just the right way in order for them to be special. However, do not be so uppity as to think that just because I would rather do a collaboration album with you than a split, that it means that I do not REALLY love your work. My mindset has to be on a certain frequency to want to do a split, and it doesn't always account for taste or such.

God, I sound like I am in a wonderful mood. Ha.

For a more in depth look at the collaboration album, the inner workings are simple. We can either send files back and forth for each other to add one, or, if we should be so lucky (?) as to be within the same vicinity at any given time, we can also record a 'live' collaborative album, which is something that I certainly prefer. The album can then be released by either of us (if you should have a record label, or myself, on the off chance that I do not have releases for others backed up), or we can seek out a label. It will be released as Sleepers & _____ or _____ & Sleepers, or an equally original and well thought out play on words  that contains both of our project's names, and with whatever
album name that we therein decide on. If you don't like it, well, then I'd say that you are spending too much time at your mother's questionable brother's house. Yep.

I am also currently planning an absolutely massive tour that will encompass all medias, and hopefully have many people. I want an entire string section, a handful of vocalists, woodwinds, brass, keys, painters, audio, projectors, woodcarvers, really anything that you can think of. And hopefully, this time, it will be with people who are not complete flakes. But that is a different story. More details will be divulged on this as they are constructed and discovered, but I assure that this will be MUCH more structured and planned out than the Bicycle Sighs tour, if I can even call it that.

In closing, seeing as how I tend to drag on and on while writing, I'd like to state that Sleepers gives me a feeling I do not believe I've ever gotten from other projects. It excites me, because it challenges me. It truly allows me to expand my sense of musicianship, and collaborate more freely with others. Bicycle Sighs is more of an internal vision for me, that which only I can handle. Sleepers is the aural derivement of any human being or creature in general who has woken up ripepd from their perspiration (or otherly) soaked sheets, wrought with daemon images of forbidden lusts and devious monsters, or perhaps needing to attend to a monster all their own. Sleepers is every filthy thought you've had whilst gazing across the most serene of lakes and the very brink of your purest that occur in the throes and quaking writhing of passions.

Sleepers is whatever it will be, whenever it chooses to be.

Sleepers is going to rest now, because even the wicked enjoy a good rumble, whether it be from shards of light shattering the sky, or the pitter patter of tiny kitten feet on solace shunning tiles.
