TOUR BLOG NUMBER 1 (7-13-09)

Tour is a time for NOT sleeping and generally feeling like shit through out the day. So, rather than saying our tour started last night in Santa Cruz, I’m gonna say it started Saturday. In fact, Saturday was a beautiful send off. After three hours of sleep for both Daniel and myself, we thought it’d be appropriate to play not once, but twice. (three times if you count Jake, Jon and myself playing with Damselles).

After a nice short Spaceland set, we “rocked”(?) The Steve Allen Theatre. Performing before 8 or 9 comedians until about 3 am. Joke highlight; “This is what it’d feel like if our genitals were made of denim” (in reference to dry humping, which Jake finds “FUCKING DOPE”…More Jake quotes later. Those will be worth the wait.

Last night we played at Bordello disguised as a restaurant called RED. It was quite red.. And dark. Dark and red. That’s about it. No need to bring up the show. Just visualize red and dark.

Tonight we’re off to Sacramento to play CLUB POW! Not feeling too funny, so I’m gonna go listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival. Apparently theyre from San Francisco, which makes Dan mad. “fake fuckers!”
