With soooo many great garage bands *finally* making it for SXSW, how could it be anything but a very LARGE time.  And it was.  Friends from PA invaded, that's Pennsylvania, not Port Arthur ya rednecks.  Parallax Project is a bunch of rockin' dudes that bring incredibly fun chicks on the road with them.  Yosemite Pam and Dumpster Ruth are more fun than YOU!!  So, Chris of Dogfish Head Brewery, promoter of the great Gingerman day shows, after several pints at the Doggy Duck St. Paddy's day madness, and after one look at the cuddly and fabulous Goldie Shifter (rrrrrraaarrrrh!), decided The Platforms should play a renegade showcase!  We were loaning some gear to our friends and the mighty Magic Christian to use at these shows, as these hard-working lads played 5-6 shows while here in our fair city.  So, we got to play a few songs on Friday between the scheduled sets.  Thank God for all the great garage bands here for SouthBy . . . finally!  I *really* needed that . . . check 'em all out:
