Hello music friends!  I’ve got lots to tell you about.

My studio recording is zipping along.  My debut album - My Own True North - will be released on December 1, 2009.  How cool is that?

And, on Friday, December 4, I’ll be playing a CD Release show at the Amazing Things Arts Center.  That’s right!!  It’s a “Spreading the Love for Local Music” show, and I’ll be joined by some of my favorite people who have contributed their talents to my album.  Not only will I have Rich Wilkins – a local Framingham student and budding songwriting talent – opening for me, but I’ll be joined by Seth Connelly, Lori Diamond, Andrew Greene and Mally Smith throughout the evening.

Tickets are available now by calling 508-405-2787.  You’ll be in your happy place.  I know I will be in mine!  Plan on Friday, December 4!!

Second but no less exciting, on October 1st I'm launching Birch Beer Records with my good friend Dan Cloutier.  The two of us sat down to help each other with some music goals, and realizing that there is so much local musical talent right here, we decided to start our own independent record label.  Dan’s new CD “Live at the Masquerade Ball” is the first Birch Beer Records release.  As some of you know – I had the great honor of adding piano and vocals for Dan’s band for this recording from his live concert at Amazing Things back in April of this year.  It was a great show – and you can hear it for yourself.  The CD will be available on the Birch Beer Records website, and is available now at any of Dan’s live shows.

“My Own True North” will be Birch Beer Records’ 2nd release.  So I’m officially on an indie record label!

You can sign up for the Birch Beer Records newsletter now at www.birchbeerrecords.com.

My appearance on the NECN Coffee House has been rescheduled to Friday, October 23 during the Morning News.  I’ll be performing one of my original songs and doing my best to have a calm, cool and collected brief TV interview.  Catch me if you can – or check it out online afterwards at www.necn.com.

And, my list of October shows is below – including my 2nd appearance at Lowell Celebrates Kerouac festival this Thursday 10/1!

As always, thank you SO much for listening.  Now, head on out and get yourself some Birch Beer.  You can thank me later for the idea! ;)

Warm fuzzies,
Kim
