Current mood:  amused
Hey everyone! I've hit the 5 month mark of living back in Florida. So much has happened.

New CD is done. Version 1.0 of "Daggers and Darts" is now available. I'm very proud of it. Just me by myself with an acoustic and some percussion. 10 of my best new songs. I'm really pleased with the vibe of the cd... very hip. Big thanks to my friend, Rob Higgins... we recorded it over a few days at his studio in Nebraska. We recorded it at 96K, so the mp3's here don't do the songs any favors... but you'll get the idea.

the cd sounds WAY cooler.

New photos by Kellie Warren Underwood now up here on the site. She's a great young photographer in Orlando. She gets big ups from me. Hire her for your next shoot, or portrait, or wedding, or whatever. You'll be glad you did.

I have a few acoustic gigs coming up with my duo "ACOUSTIC MEN". David Sanders and I doing tasty renditions of all kinds of songs from the past 50 years. We have great fun. Between he and I, we know probably a couple hundred songs. It's great to play with someone of David's caliber... great voice too!

On the church front at North Lake PC, things couldn't be better. When I arrived here, there were 160 coming to the Contemporary Worship service. Now there are more than 300, and the room is full. We need to add a second service or move to a larger building. I'm pleased, and the staff here is very pleased. If you haven't come to visit, you're in for a treat when you do!

If that all isn't enough, I'm also playing bass and keys in a cover band (Shepherds Pie), doing fun stuff from Journey, Kansas, Moody Blues, Doobie Brothers, Boston, and others like that. Great group of guys, and a tremendous lead singer, Dunning Shaw. We'll be doing conventions and corporate gigs and festivals and stuff. Our first gig is at a local Chili Cookoff on OCT 11th. Come hear the racket we make. It's entirely too much fun.

peace to all of you.... see you soon!

Joe

hey Joe,
Nice to hear your upbeat tone and mood. Sounds like many directions have opened up in your life. The gift is what it is. Returning it to other hearts is a blessing regardless of the context.

I'm not in the least surprised about the increased attendance. If I wasn't in VA I'd be there this weekend. But there are many good reasons that I'm here. the latest is my inclusion as alto in the VA Masterworks Chorale. Bach's Magnificat in D is on our plate now. Like I said, good reasons.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.
Keep on making the good notes!
peace and good pickin
