I've had a busy summer playing a number of club dates and fests in and out of state and look forward to a busy fall.

I had a minor outpatient knee surgery on my right knee on July 15.
Back to about 100% as far as function, with some lifting restrictions still in place for a time.

Luckily, I did not have to cancel one gig this summer as all were organ gigs and keyboard related.

I took a fall last summer and had no idea I had torn the meniscus until I had a flare up in the late spring which put me on crutches for a couple of days.

I had some trials with my back after the fall, but no one investigated my knee even though I said something was not quite right with it. The flareup changed all that and I was able to resolve that problem which caused the back problem. I guess it is possible to alter your gait a bit and not even be aware of it. I am grateful for my good bandmate friends who have pitched in to help me with my gear during this time.

I am also back to drumming and look forward to some freelancing on that instrument starting later this month. Obviously, I had to take some time off of that since the bass drum leg was affected by this surgery, but am back in the saddle.

Looking forward to the fall and keeping as busy as ever.
