ALOHA JOE'S NOTE TO ISLAND MUSICIANS

Many times each month I'm asked this question by island musicians or producers, "What can I do to get my music heard by people in and out of Hawaii?"  The answer is simple and yet requires a bit of work.

FIRST, you need a website.  It doesn't have to be a FANCY site with all sorts of moving areas (called flash) of palm trees, clouds, etc.  An Intro Page is unnecessary; many skip the intro page.  You don't have to spend a fortune on a website or domain name.  There are many reliable companies that charge reasonable fees where you can register a domain name and get hosting for the website.  The site should contain all your contact and performance information, a short bio, and a description of your album with a cover shot.

NEXT, you will need a point of sale for your album.  You could place your album with CD BABY.com.(as an example)  CD BABY is a company that will not only sell your work, but place your album on hundreds of digital download sites, if you choose to go digital.  Visit their website and read about the company and the fees involved.  http://www.cdbaby.com  Another good place for your album would be with AMAZON.com, a huge company that cross-sells items.  http://www.amazon.com

Consider sending your album or music video to Aloha Joe Radio & TV for possible airplay.  If your material fits our format, we'll include it in our files.  We receive hundreds of albums a year from all over.  If our audience shows an interest, we'll keep playing them in daily rotation.  Each album cover is displayed on our media player with a LINK to the artist's website and/or point of sale.

Aloha Joe Radio is known as "America's premier Hawaiian Radio Station."
The station plays the widest-selection of island music around, 25/7/265, including The Aloha Joe Show heard "LIVE" every day and in replays on Sunday.

You can send your albums or singles to:

It's really awesome how you help out Island Musicians...without people like you, much of Hawaiian music wouldn't be heard outside of the islands..
We owe a debt of gratitude!
Great job! : )
Aloha,
