About a month ago I thought I was starting to get too fat and lazy
and so began to pick back up on my daily 3 mile jog.
Here is a link to my route:

jogging route More Details: Okay, so if you want more details, here they are.
A few years ago I was working aout pretty heavily...
1 hour of cardio about 5-6 days a week and then
1 hour of weight training (with a personal trainer) about
3-4 times a week. I did that for about 2 years, until
a few of my priorities changed, and then switched my
exercise to only jogging 2-3 miles about 5 days a week....
until I met a girl. Yes, funny how that can change your
daily routine too.
Now I've been single for awhile and thought I should really
start my exercise up again.
It was amazing! The last time I did a little jogging was only
about 6 months early.. and I was still doing about 2 miles
on several days a week, but NOW, the first time I ran again,
I could only keep it up for .5 miles... then had to walk .75 miles,
then jog another .25 miles, and walk the last .5 miles of my
shorter 2 mile route. Pathetic! And how quickly it was lost!
... I guess I should also add that I've usually been jogging,
here in Texas, in June at around 11am-3pm where the temps
have been in the upper 90's. I've noticed when I jog in the
early morning or late evening, the jog is MUCH easier!
But I'm also trying to get about 20-30 min of sun each day.
So, for 5 days a week over the next 2 weeks I slowly added
anywhere from 100 ft to .25 miles of jogging each day, but
made sure to always add at least a little.
The third week I held steady at 2 miles of jogging each day.
Now, I've recently added the last mile (3 miles total) to my
route... still walking some of it right now.... usually depends
on time of day I'm running.
Eventually I will build up to an occational 6 mile run, at which
time I will be ready for the 10k city race a friend and I are
going to do together in March 2007.
Right now I'm doing about 10 minute miles, and good enough
for what I'm trying to accomplish.
