Monster Zero News 15/07/09

What is up, amigos? Goomba here, with the latest Monster Zero news. First of all, happy summer to you and your retarded bunch of friends. 40 years ago, the hippies had their way, this time we will have ours. Beers, cheers, joints and poppunk for all of you, it’s the summer of 2009!

Goomba just joined THE APERS on a little trip to ....Sicily...., where they played the Beers & Bones Festival with great bands like The Accelerators, The Manges and The Shieldsss (new band from Stefaneno Popster!) The Apers will take a little summer holiday now, before they start playing again at the end of August. They are working on new songs for upcoming splits with Sons Of Buddah (F) and The Riptides (CAN). In September and October The Apers will tour The Netherlands and ....Belgium...., followed by a November tour through ....Germany...., ....Italy.... and ....France..... Their latest record “You Are Only As Strong As The Table You Dance On”, out on Asian Man Records is available through Monster Zero aswell. But anyway, Goomba is back home, and on Thursday 16 July he will party with THE BAT BITES when they open up for Squirtgun at WATT Theatre in ....Rotterdam...., NL. After this show, the four ....Rotterdam.... youngsters will take a boat over to the ....UK.... for two shows with The Accelerators and The Zatopeks. Mikey Bat Bite told Goomba that The Bat Bites are working on new recordings, Goomba can’t wait! After the summer they will play some more cool shows with bands like The Apers and The Dopamines. In the meantime, order their “Creatures Of The Night” CDEP out on Monster Zero Inc.

Also out on Monster Zero: THE DEECRACKS – Beach 90 7” EP! Yes yes yes, more Austrians, more 1-2-3-4, more of that killer punkrock. Goomba likes! Unlike their Austrian labelmates, these guys hail from the ....Klagenfurt.... / ....Vienna.... region, but they rock just as hard. They are currently touring the US of Aight with poppunkparty maniacs Johnie 3. Hopefully they’ll be back in the old countries soon. And when they do, you might wanna sing-a-long, so get that 7” EP, it’s very very limited!!!

At this point we can tell you nothing about THE MUGWUMPS and THE RATCLIFFS. They probably had some crazy party in ..Tirol.., where Ox Accelerator spotted them last in the backyard of Max Power. There are people on their way down there as we speak, so we hope to have news soon. Stay tuned!

THE MURDERBURGERS from ....Glasgow.., ..Scotland.... are the latest addition to the Monster Zero family. Goomba felt bad after breaking Fraser’s guitar sometime ago, so he offered them a record deal. Damn fuckin smart he did! The full-length by these three mentally ill punkrawkers is called “Semi-Erect, Semi-Retarded, Semi-Detached” and contains nothing but hits! As if William Wallace was beating up Teenage Bottlerocket! The Murderburgers just blasted through ..Europe.. together with ....Belgium....’s finest The Priceduifkes, but will play many shows the next few months. Go catch them live.
