To those people in the Market Rasen area....hope the tremor didn't cause you problems.

I suppose we could do some sort of maths with this....12.50 where you are, 1258 in South Yorks where I am (felt like we were going onto fast spin for a while with items rattling and creaking all around....and an unnerving feeling that the house was becoming rubbery). At first I thought a gust of wind was the cause...as it grew stronger I thought it was becoming gale force then the sofa started to become mobile.
I heard a young lady on an ad hoc local radio phone in describing how she flushed the loo just as it was about to begin. That must have been confusing.
I also heard that a friend in Liverpool felt it like I did at 12.58...but a friend they were conversing with in Southport on the phone at the time felt it just after.
Hopefully everyone is okay. Naturally, I blame the government. :)

I was asleep in bed when I was woken to the bedroom door banging loudly in the frame and our bed shaking from side to side!! finally, our lightshade fell to the floor and everything went quiet...... naturally, I thought at first it was a poltergeist invading our bedroom but when we looked out of our window we saw all the neighbors bedroom lights come on - one of them even ventured into the street with a torch?? I was the most scared I've ever been - Martin had to fetch me a drink and a cig!! I wish I had heard it coming though.
